    WOAH!
    I watched this video the day it came out and test drove the ideas and Sale Samurai with a specific line of my stickers. I used them to tighten up my tags, titles, etc. and to find my initial price and dream price. Those specific listings are getting consistent orders over my other stickers now! After the holidays I'm going to continue to clean up my shop SEO and set prices. Thanks for your insights!

    Thanks for the insights. Another confirmation that selling one of a kind items on Etsy does not pay off.

      They can work but definitely a lot harder to get listings ranking and scaling.

      @@KateHayes The example using the profit calculator was very helpful! Such an important topic and example especially since the most recent Wall Street Journal article about Etsy said that sellers have not raised their prices and 25% of sellers don't even know what their profit margin is.

    Hey girl! Thanks for the video! 😊I currently offer free shipping on all of my items and I have one duplicate item for testing the main listing photos. If I wanted to do A B testing for a listing WITH shipping, would I need to go back to my products and create a new shipping profile through printify, then select that shipping profile for all the items I want to test? If not, what’s a good way to add shipping to a half of my listings so I can do A B testing to see whether free shipping or with shipping does better for my niche? Just trying to figure out these basics! I appreciate any help! Thanks girl!

    Hi love this video! I’ve had an Etsy shop for a while and only one sell. I do believe my price is too high compared to my competition. My question is I do have a website that generates sale if I lower my Etsy price do I need to lower my prices on my personal shop as well?

    Thanks. $7.99 a month with your discount is quite good.

    Hi Kate! Question about this, I just got initial and ideal pricing figured out but I already have a shop in motion. Should I make brand new listings or just adjust what I already have?

    • @KateHayes
      @KateHayes  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Awesome! Just adjust the pricing on your current listings if you feel they are quality listings :)

    I never understand how these videos apply to me because each item I sell is unique. Once it’s sold, it’s gone, I can never get it again.

    Can you do an honest, open chat video speaking truthfully about Esty and Plaid? None of the Popular Esty TH-camr's will speak plainly about it and what's going on. That's not cool. I had to close my shop due to the Plaid debacle. So have at least 50% of Esty small business owners. Can YOU, Kate Hayes discuss that? You speak on EVERYTHING else Esty.........................🤔😔

    pricing is rough for canadian sellers with POD, at a 30% profit margin or 20% if you do a sale the base cost can round up to 50 without even adding shipping etsy fees and taxes, almost impossible to compete with handmade sellers on etsy.

    •  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes!! This is exactly my problem. How do you overcome this??

    • @jackcruzdesigns1654
      @jackcruzdesigns1654 ปีที่แล้ว

      @ you cant unfortunately, unless you’re making the product yourself fully and buying your own apparel or whatever you need without the use of a print on demand company.

    •  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@jackcruzdesigns1654 so, it's not worth it if you're Canadian?

    • @jackcruzdesigns1654
      @jackcruzdesigns1654 ปีที่แล้ว

      @ its only not worth it if you dont try right. You can still get value from experience. Doing tags marketing so when youre ready to sell on your own site it can cost less and keep your etsy too

    •  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@jackcruzdesigns1654 okay, so then you need to get suppliers, have overhead, and invest upfront. Dang.
