The best part of Wii U edition for me was by far the Mario mashup pack!! This was great to go back to and see my weird old builds from 2015, I hope some people still remember this version :D like and subscribe if you enjoyed, thanks
I remember playing the minigames every day cause playing online was free on the Wii U as well as the fact that it included a built in microphone so you were able to talk with people all the time. I made so many friends back then... Hope they're doing alright now.
That’s the greatest thing in Minecraft how it brings people together, it’s so nice you have those memories of people you’d not have met without the game :))
Thanks Rie, I prefer any of the legacy editions to the feeling of bedrock. The graphics on them is so nostalgic and the menus as well were perfect. It’s sad they changed it for bedrock edition but I’m thankful we can still play the old legacy games
That’s really interesting because I get what you mean. Even though there were less features they all felt complete and like they worked together but now Minecraft has a lot of random updates that lead down different play styles of the game but then don’t link together to feel like a full game and it’s like you are waiting for more updates. But back on legacy edition i was always satisfied with the amount of content in the game and any updates were just nice surprises
i'm playing this version on Cemu in 4K , without world generation though , no internet connection ... the playable world is about 2000-3000 blocks squared , then you get a invisible boarder ... but at least i get to play minecraft VANILLA again ... caves and cliffs update completely DESTROYED minecraft and made it to : '' just walk on down and get your diamonds without MINING ONE BLOCK-craft ''
Daaamn you must have tons of amazing worlds and memories made on this version that’s so cool!! It’s a big shame the online service is closing soon I hate that
@@CallumariMan I can relate to that.. a lot. The Wii U of an online friend of mine started to break down and at one point he never came online again. Really wish I could see him again!!
this is so relaxing.... the soothing calm almost doesnt-want-to-wake-parents-up voice, the relaxing editing, the nostalgia delving of your personal experience. this feels like a heartfelt conversation and feels so deeply personal
I started playing Minecraft in 2015 when i was in 2nd grade and seeing the old legacy edition from title update 7 or 11 makes me so nostalgic now I'm 15 and I'm in 10th grade now and seeing those versions makes me feel so young again i miss it so much i played it a whole lot on the Xbox 360 when i was 7!
Those old versions have an amazing feeling I can’t describe in words but I get like that too when playing the old updates and feeling like I did when I was young
My dad bought me Minecraft WiiU Edition for Christmas in 2016, I was only 10 years old at the time. The amount of worlds I created and cool people I met, some of those people I’m still friends with TO THIS VERY DAY. The Minecraft WiiU journey has to be one of the best moments of my life. I stopped playing around 2019 because of school and I was really moving on as a person. In case any of my old friends or some people that may have ran into me are reading this comment, my gamertags were *Itzleila* and *jhakobi99.*
The minecraft WiiU edition was my first version of Minecraft and I played there for such a long time. Sometimes there were worlds where no villages generated so we had to heal several zombie villagers there throughout the night with hostile mobs being limited to 100. But it was so much fun and when I come back to these worlds, I just feel nostalgic, seing the WiiU edition with all its weird traits like craftable enchanted golden apples in 1.13 and of course all the awesome worlds and buildings we had there until the save limit was reached. Good old times.
What an amazing experience on this version. I remember it was always bad luck if you didn’t get a village in your world because they were so small and limited but you’d be able to grind for villagers eventually curing the zombies it was so much fun. And I didn’t even notice the golden apple, well found
i'm playing this version on Cemu in 4K , without world generation though , no internet connection ... the playable world is about 2000-3000 blocks squared , then you get a invisible boarder ... but at least i get to play minecraft VANILLA again ... caves and cliffs update completely DESTROYED minecraft and made it to : '' just walk on down and get your diamonds without MINING ONE BLOCK-craft ''
Finally someone remembers the underrated Edition. Sure the wii u was Nintendo's Black Sheep...but yet so nostalgic and cooler. Thanks covering this one Jeroo.
ikr? I'd spend hours on this thing and even after the Switch came out and everyone talked about the "New" games, I couldn't help but tell them they were just playing Wii U games on a different system!
you can play that game on Cemu too , i'm playing this version of minecraft on Cemu in 4K , without world generation though , no internet connection ... the playable world is about 2000-3000 blocks squared , then you get a invisible boarder ... but at least i get to play minecraft VANILLA again ... caves and cliffs update completely DESTROYED minecraft and made it to : '' just walk on down and get your diamonds without MINING ONE BLOCK-craft ''
This edition is awesome! I can still find people playing the battle minigame to this day (although online servers for wiiu are shutting down soon so that might change). I have so many memories of this version and the years i spent playing it, the wiiu was the only thing i had haha. This video brought me back for sure.
I remember downgrading the Wii U one to its oldest version going on to the tutorial world with stampys house and convincing my brother that stampys house naturally generated
I still play this game to this day. It was my first version of minecraft that I ever played. I love just booting up my wii u and seeing my old self's imagination expressed in builds.
When I heard the online for Wii U would be discontinued in April 2024, I just remembered all the memories of playing online on the Minigames thing. All those friends I met and played random survival worlds with as a kid was just some of the happiest moments of my life. Gosh I hella miss those days, time really does go by so fast. I’m really hoping in around March a bunch of people play the mini games online just so I can experience all this one last time. Anyways; enough of me rambling about my childhood, Merry Christmas! Oh and also Mario galaxy is the best game hehe (I mod the damm game I love it so much)
It’s the worst news that the Wii u online is shutting down, I also don’t feel done with the Wii u and wanted it to stay on for a few more years :( also that’s awesome modding galaxy looks really fun I want to know how to do it but I tried and couldn’t get it to work
Hey, don't worry. There's a development project in the works called Pretendo Network that will restore the Wii U online functionality after the shutdown!
The Wii U was the first non-handheld console I got. Me and my brother got it for Christmas in 2013, which is crazy to think it was 10 years ago now. I was 8 years old at the time, and the only console I'd owned beforehand was a 3DS I got for Christmas a year or two prior that had since stopped working. My parents also got us a small TV to go with the Wii U, and we spent all of Christmas day setting it up in me and my brother's shared room, before both of us spent the rest of the night playing Super Mario 3D World and Nintendo Land. The Wii U was the only console me and my brother owned for years before Christmas in 2017, when I got a Switch and my brother got a PS4. We spent the 4 years we actively played it actively playing and collecting a variety of games. In 2014, I was at my elementary school best friend's house, and she asked me if I'd ever played Minecraft. I told her I'd heard of it, but never got to play it for myself, and she said that I just HAD to play it. She dragged me downstairs to play it on her family's Xbox. She showed me a treehouse she'd built, the difference between survival and creative, and I felt the possibilities of the game open up before my eyes. We spent a few hours building in our own world, and I still remember the very first house I built with my limited knowledge of the controls that seemed so complicated at the time, a small house made of diamond blocks. After that day, I became obsessed with Minecraft, as any 9 year old in 2014 would. I introduced it to my brother through TH-cam videos, and together we would spend hours upon hours watching out favorite Minecraft TH-camrs, longing for a game we couldn't get due to it only being out on consoles we didn't have. On top of the money issues my family was going through at the time, we simply couldn't play it, so we lived through the TH-camrs who shared their content with us. DanTDM, Stampylonghead, PopularMMOs, we'd sit in front of our tablets and watch them for hours. We also downloaded out fair share of Minecraft knock-offs to try and live out our ambitions there, games I still remember by name, such as Worldcraft and Block Story, the latter I actually own on Steam after buying the full version to try and re-live memories. Sometime during the summer of 2015, I told my mom about Minecraft, and me and my brother essentially begged her to buy the game so we could play it on our Dad's Xbox One, since Wii U edition hadn't come out at the time. Since money was tight, she couldn't buy it, but told us to add it to our birthday lists. Flash forward a few months to September, me and my brother's birthdays fall within a week of each other, his birthday on the 11th, and mine on the 17th. Imagine our surprise when we were out grocery shopping with her, only for her to turn to the game aisle of Walmart and pick out the Xbox One edition of Minecraft. We spent months building so many things together, messing around in creative and survival. I vividly remember building a giant TNT block while listening to my favorite music discs, building a town alongside my brother, and one of my proudest creations, a recreation of the Warrior Cats forest map in Minecraft, as I was (and still am tbh) obsessed with the book series. When my mom and dad split up in early 2016, My dad kept the Xbox as well as Minecraft. Me and my brother went with our mom to go stay with our grandma, and we didnt see our dad or most of our belongings for a few long months, as when we left we didn't take much with us. The next time we saw our dad was when we went 2 states away to stay with him for the summer, during which our dad was able to pick us up a copy of the Wii U edition of Minecraft, and we took the Wii U and TV with us when we went back to stay with our mom. For a couple of kids living in a house with no Wi-Fi, Minecraft was what kept us occupied. While I have many fond memories of the Xbox One edition of Minecraft, most of my memories come from this version. One of the most vivid memories I have is of me and my brother's survival world, which was centered around the adventures of me and our shared stuffed animal, an orange cat named Fuzzy who was included in almost every aspect of our lives up until I turned 12. We made a Mii for her on the Wii U and my brother played as her throughout the entire time we played on the survival world. We started out in a desert village that actually ended up getting overtaken by zombies, turning all the villagers into zombie villagers and essentially making the village into a ghost town when we left. We played out the events like a dramatic story, ending in me and Fuzzy fleeing the village to go build our own house. While I built and started a farm in the backyard, Fuzzy went mining, and we continued until we got a Nether portal. Eventually, we got bored, and went off to play other worlds when we had done all we could think of in that one. We also had out fair share of creative worlds, I remember opening up a superflat world to build a castle, building a giant town in a different one, building a hotel, and even just opening up a world to set a forest on fire and watch it burn. In 2017, when our dad got full custody of me and my brother, I got a Nintendo Switch for Christmas and my brother got a PS4. My brother also began to grow out of Minecraft and became addicted to Fortnite, which was the next big thing at the time. Since then, I can't remember the last time me and my brother played Minecraft together. I've since bought Minecraft on my Switch and my PC, and occasionally I'll get into a 2-week Minecraft phase with my friends, our last one being in a realm in June of this year. While I have so many memories with Minecraft, the best ones will always be 11 year old me and my 9 year old brother playing Minecraft together on our shared Wii U, sitting on the living room floor and making stories and memories that we'll both cherish for the rest of our lives. The Wii U edition of Minecraft may not have been bought by many, but it was cherished by the ones that did.
i have a wiiu with minecraft too and my god that were memories. All the tutorial worlds and builds i did in minecraft and the minigames were also legendary. i can also remember super mario maker on the wiiu and i loved it its so sad that this console didnt sell that well because it was actually a great console and i really had fun to play with it. Finally someone who understands me. You are now officially the coolest person i know. Thankfully someone is finally talking about this great console.
this is soooo calming. im watching this at midnight lol.. your calm voice, simple editing, notslagic feels, all feel like im having a personal conversation while playing minecraft with one of my old friends a while ago. i love the way you talked about the smallest details, even things that were off topic like your sister not playing fortnite... youre now the coolest person i know and someone who actually appreciates the goodness of the underrated wii console. love you and your content bro.. keep it up man. this deserves more than a subsciption and a like.
I played so much Minecraft on Wii U, the minigames were a riot. I lost so many hours on tumble and glide trying to get all the achievements, gradually improving at spleef, playing custom games with 12 floors and levitation potions.. good times.. 2:57 Yeah! Exactly. Shame my Gamepad's screen is glitchy and has a drifting right joystick :( 1:28 Also the New 3DS version had Mario mash up as well lol 5:26 No, my gamepad is a bit delayed from the TV as well. That's not just you.
I’m sorry your gamepad is playing up thats so annoying to replace or get fixed D: also I hadn’t thought about the 3ds edition thanks for reminding me, I feel like that’s a really interesting one because it’s a bit different to other console editions to make it work on the small handheld. Thanks for this awesome comment I’m glad you’ve had so much fun in the Wii u edition
Watching this really gave me nostalgia of playing minecraft with my friends a few years ago, I think the way you present your video just feels so nice and not too over edited like other videos. I really like this style of video and it should definitely get more attention!
I'm watching this because the Minecraft online mode on Wii U was switched off yesterday on April 1st, 2024. The Wii U version was always the most unknown version but still cool.
The wiiu was my first real minecraft experience at like 10, I really miss playing the snowball minigames with random strangers. it feels nostalgic. it sucks they shut the servers down.
i'm playing this version on Cemu in 4K , without world generation though , no internet connection ... the playable world is about 2000-3000 blocks squared , then you get a invisible boarder ... but at least i get to play minecraft VANILLA again ... caves and cliffs update completely DESTROYED minecraft and made it to : '' just walk on down and get your diamonds without MINING ONE BLOCK-craft ''
Minecraft Wii U was my childhood and what I poured hundreds of hours into playing I loved the minigames and playing creative with my friends. I used to spend so much time on the MiiVerse sharing my game with others. Good times
Hey, great video. There's another two console editions of the game that no one talks about. It's the 3ds and vita ports of the game. The 3ds port is also great for the console. I have this version my self and it runs pretty good, and I like having double screen. Wish I could of got my hands on the Wii U version as well when I had the chance.
Well the Wiiu servers are down, meaning no more Minecraft online there. Luckily i spent the last hour with some randoms, but they were super nice and didnt even battle, just spent most of time talking and sharing some memorys. Great time. Rip Minecraft Wiiu edition.
Dude I still have my Wii U, and it still has the Minecraft Disc still inside of it! And the crazy part, the Disc has the Minecraft Mashup Pack sign on the disc! Aww the memories...
I Still have my Wii U to this day. As a fortune cookie in Animal Crossing once said; Great Artists aren’t always appreciated in their own time… And you bet I checked out the Minecraft Wii U port. Well, my cousin had a copy and we used to play on it just for fun! And I think it was mid last year he ported out Wii U worlds into the Switch so they can live on! I’d find that feature pretty sweet! Keep up the great nostalgic videos, Jeroo! 😃👍
Thinking about the Wiiu edition makes me feel so nostalgic, I vividly remember going to my dad’s house on the weekends and playing minecraft all day with my online friends. We’d do things like build city’s, play survival, and some of us had pretty popular minigame worlds. but as soon as the switch released more and more of us started to log off for good. it was kind of bittersweet seeing them leave but I know I enjoyed the memories we made together. I remember moving and my dad accidentally breaking my wiiu. so in the end I guess i’ll never get to connect with these people again.
@@JerooMinecraft of course ^^ and thank you for replying! I hope you don’t rush it and have fun doing it in the future, wether or not you continue with these kinds of videos
Great to see that people still remember this, I played this all the time with the online friends I met on there. I lost them all obviously, but 8+ years later and I'm still trying to find them again.
Gosh, I remember these days so vividly. I met my first friends on the WiiU on Battle Minigame, Yoshi was my main skin. Then friendships blossomed from there, I had an entire city in Superflat with my friends which took up a Good 25% of the available world. We'd roleplay there, and even if it was cringy, we were 9-Year-olds. I had an entire "Clan" you could call it even. The Mario Mash-up was great as well, I remember roleplaying as Mario Characters in custom made worlds. Then, Once the switch released, everyone started disappearing one by one. It was sad, maybe 2 of my original friend group was left by late 2018... Thank you for making this video and bringing my old childhood memories back again.
minecraft wii u got me hooked to minecraft and me and my dad played it until the switch ver. came out and forgot about the wii u ver. and i have a lot of memories of it and i'll always remember it 🥲
I play them all the the time too! Sometimes i even purposely don't play them for a while so when i go back to play them they still have that same Magic! i really hope they make a 3rd one!!!!!@@JerooMinecraft
Omg same I’m having a break from them at the moment for many months and waiting for the perfect time to replay them again when it’s summer holidays and I’ve finished my exams. Because playing these games without a single thing to worry about makes them so amazing!!! I’d die for a 3rd game if a trailer came out it would be the best day of my life
Epic video! Brought everyone down memory lane. I would wake up every morning and hop on the Wii U and play mini games or just make stuff in creative, fun times
This was probably one of my favorite Wii U games. Just the nostalgia is crazy, and I loved the battle minigames! It was so fun to play spleef with my older brother after getting home from school.
I think I'm only 1/5 through the video, but I love it. This version of Minecraft was my first version. There were so many memories I had, like finding secrets in the tutorial world, exploring the older tutorial, finding the Trojan horse in a world, being able to make flat worlds that make no sense, all of it. God this was so simple back then, but it makes me feel creative and happy.
you still can , somewhat , i'm playing this version on Cemu in 4K , without world generation though , no internet connection ... the playable world is about 2000-3000 blocks squared , then you get a invisible boarder ... but at least i get to play minecraft VANILLA again ... caves and cliffs update completely DESTROYED minecraft and made it to : '' just walk on down and get your diamonds without MINING ONE BLOCK-craft ''
As another one of the five people that bought a Wii U, I have countless amazing memories of playing games on it. I actually went back to it with the goal of 100% completing every Mario game I have before Wonder came out. Good times
the wii u edition of minecraft holds such a special spot for me, as a kid i always wanted minecraft and then one day got surprised by parents with it. i played and played and played, it was my first time getting diamonds, first time going to the nether and everything else. i remember the mario mashup pack being awesome too, all the soundtracks, all the items reskins, i even remember building a house in bowsers house in the nether. i was even able to play a good handful of the online minigames with others too and it was a blast its crazy to think i was onlyt 11/12 at the time, but i can all still remember it perfectly, ive still got the physical edition of it to this day, this version was truly something different to me...
I remember playing minecraft Wii U edition so much… I can’t forget making my first world… making all sorts of buildings and making sure my parents would see it I was so disappointed to not see all of the minigames maps also on the switch edition😢😢😢
I only had one friend that had the Wii U edition with me. We both tried building maps, and for a while this was my main way of playing Minecraft. I miss that friend. Haven’t talked to him in a while.
the good thing about the wii u edition of minecraft is that wii u emulators exist now so you can emulate minecraft wii u edition on your computer and play it
i just got the 3ds version of minecraft for chistmas and i really like it. i think it would be cool to try the wii u version someday though (also i love ur voice lol)
Wii U edition was so fun and I played it a lot now my console is kind of messed up so I don’t know if I can play it a lot. I have a question for all the people that played it were yall also finding a weird amount of woodland mansions? I remember always finding a woodland mansion normally multiple right when the world loaded and one being in the video reminded me.
If your Wii U still works, come back to it and set your status to your username or something! Maybe one day, your friends will be able to talk to you again.
this was my first version of minecraft, i got right as it came out and loved enjoying time on minecraft even tho i was a kiddo and the wii u minigames were awesome, i played it everydya for the many maps and free online
Great retrospective! I never had any of the legacy console versions of Minecraft (I've been a Java player since around 2010), so it's really cool to see how much love 4J put into the franchise across all of their ports. Also, RIP to that poor, defenseless bat. You monster. ;) 8:00 Just speculating, but I'm guessing you're using the wrong color space or range settings. From what I can gather TH-cam seems to only support a limited color space, so if you're recording with a full range you'll get overblown highlights and too much shadowing. I've had very good luck with using the NV12 color format, the 709 color space, and partial color range in both OBS's advanced settings as well as my Premiere sequences. That does lead to a bit of color lossiness (for example, pure red will be appear to be very slightly pinkish) but in my experience the uploaded video will look very close to the exported video.
I had no idea that this version of Minecraft is called legacy edtion. I still have a similar type of version, but its before the aquatic update. I'm glad that this was on the Nintendo switch bc if it didn't I would of never experienced it. I also have the newer version of Minecraft and if you have old worlds from the other edtion you can actually upload them on it. Which is kinda cool.
I remember when I was a kid I used to watch these videos of people transforming up the statues in the Mario world. One example is transforming the Luigi statue into Mr. L. I remember hopping on to my Wii U with my brother to try doing it ourselves. So much fun! Minecraft Wii U edition was my first experience of minecraft and I'm glad it was a part of my childhood.
I started my minecraft world on wii u edition in 2015, still playing the world today on my ps4 and its gotten huge. This edition holds so many memories for me
I still have my wii. Once a while I glance at the games and sometimes roam around in the old Minecraft. Sometimes I wish you could put all the games you already bought into the switch. But the nostalgia is good. I personally enjoyed playing the Halloween world. Especially the roller coaster ride.
I remember playing this on the Wii U many times back in 2014 and that’s how I met a majority of my friends were we still hang out on Discord and we tend to talk about how much fun it was back then. I still have some old videos from Wayback when
wow finally wii-u edition getting the attention it deserves. this was the very first version of mc i got and had so much fun with it. i have so many worlds with so much stuff i probably have around 1000 hours on wii-u edition alone. i still have it and go back somtimes just to feel the nostalgia. ty
I remember playing this for thousands of hours and try and get every single achievement while making some friends on there that I sadly never got to contact again, it was also my first time playing minecraft and I can say that it was such a great experience I will definitely go back to it one day and hope to contact theses old friends I made back in 2016-2017
This is still probably the version of Minecraft I play most often lol, even though I own current versions on multiple platforms. I like how it still has all the old textures and free online (for now). I also have a creative world I’ve been working on for like 5 years so it’s fun to continue adding onto that world.
Minecraft on Wii U the most nostalgic thing to me! I remember playing all the mini games and being happy that I was playing with real people! I miss the old days of Minecraft
@@JerooMinecraft yea! Me and cousin even joined each other in the lobby, and we didn’t even know until we realized each other voices XD best memory of all time for me and my cousin
Ahh this version of minecraft,, I never played it, but I did have the ps3 version !! Younger me would’ve loved the Mario pack but I got it now cuz I have the switch, ALSO I LOVE MARIO GALAXY AS WELL,,,, SUCH A GOOD GAME
I may be late but I got my cousins Wii U and it had Minecraft, I found my cousins old worlds and they tried to summon herobrine lol, now I started my new world on Wii U edition and I don’t have a Wii game pad so it’s not updated to the lastest version since I can’t connect WiFi but I can still play!
Hey Jeroo! These types of videos make me want to build a time machine, and go back to the good days. With The XBox tutorial worlds, with C418, with the OG Minecraft youtubers. And Jeroo.. you keep making these videos, and one day, a person like me is gonna look back and say, "hey You remember the OG Minecraft youtubers, Yknow? like TechnoBlade and Dream? And oh yeah, you cant forget Jeroo!!
Thanks for the amazing comment ;D I fully get what you mean, I’d love to experience the old times playing console editions again for the first time and remember the feeling because I can only slightly remember the best times but so much I’ve forgotten
exactly, No but for real I LOVE your content, i'm not another suck-up fan. I really really want to see more videos just like this. I absolutely loved the Minecraft XBox 360 videos. it actually made me get my old xbox out. i was so nostalgic i couldn't even get past the menu because it said "welcome back!"@@JerooMinecraft
Amazing work! I continue to play this version of Minecraft only for the sake of continuing an old city world, and the mini games before NN shuts down. Happy Holidays!

That’s the greatest thing in Minecraft how it brings people together, it’s so nice you have those memories of people you’d not have met without the game :))
I did the same but on ps3, but I got booted offline at some point.
Same it's very sad that the servers are gonna close in april 😥
They were Consumed by the fog I’m sorry
The slightly desaturated foggy look of legacy console Minecraft is weirdly beautiful, it always makes me very nostalgic
ikr it makes legacy edition instantly recognisable and stand out from the other versions

And I didn’t even notice the golden apple, well found
Mines too
i'm playing this version on Cemu in 4K , without world generation though , no internet connection ...
the playable world is about 2000-3000 blocks squared , then you get a invisible boarder ...
but at least i get to play minecraft VANILLA again ...
caves and cliffs update completely DESTROYED minecraft and made it to :
'' just walk on down and get your diamonds without MINING ONE BLOCK-craft ''
Finally someone remembers the underrated Edition.
Sure the wii u was Nintendo's Black Sheep...but yet so nostalgic and cooler.
Thanks covering this one Jeroo.
Glad you liked this episode!! The Wii U wasn’t for everyone, but if you can appreciate the amazing games it has it’s one of the most fun consoles ever
ikr? I'd spend hours on this thing and even after the Switch came out and everyone talked about the "New" games, I couldn't help but tell them they were just playing Wii U games on a different system!
Super Mario Galaxy is also my favorite game ! The fact that you put some ost in this video is really nice !
you can play that game on Cemu too ,

This edition is awesome! I can still find people playing the battle minigame to this day (although online servers for wiiu are shutting down soon so that might change). I have so many memories of this version and the years i spent playing it, the wiiu was the only thing i had haha. This video brought me back for sure.
I play ps3 version and I’m pretty sure that there are 1000+ people on each minigame.
@chance6050 what?
There's a development project in the works called Pretendo Network that will restore the Wii U online functionality after the shutdown!
pretendo
That was the best! I played it for years. best years of my childhood. Especially because online was free.
The Wii U edition of Minecraft may not have been bought by many, but it was cherished by the ones that did.
yeah, I remember being amazed at that one Super Mario map.
The map is one of my favourite I’ve ever played in Minecraft. It combines Mario and Minecraft my two favourite games I love it
Wii U was my childhood console. Thank you for posting a video about the Minecraft Wii U Edition!!!
i have a wiiu with minecraft too and my god that were memories.
2:57 Yeah! Exactly. Shame my Gamepad's screen is glitchy and has a drifting right joystick :(
1:28 Also the New 3DS version had Mario mash up as well lol
5:26 No, my gamepad is a bit delayed from the TV as well.
You have no idea how nostalgic this is to watch, like, I played the Wii U version of Minecraft more than any other version
i'm playing this version on Cemu in 4K , without world generation though , no internet connection ...
the playable world is about 2000-3000 blocks squared , then you get a invisible boarder ...
but at least i get to play minecraft VANILLA again ...

You can still probably find them online
The fact that you always have an inventory on the screen without pressing a button makes me want to get a Wii U.
You don’t. Would be cool though.
I was 10 in 2017, and when I found out about Minecraft for Wii U, I loved it so much I got two copies
this was my first ever experience with minecraft. this video was my first real experience with nostalgia
Man, I remember pouring so much of my childhood into this version, building worlds with my old online friends. Good times
Minecraft Wii U Edition - The one and only version where I've gotten struck by lightning
I Still have my Wii U to this day. As a fortune cookie in Animal Crossing once said; Great Artists aren’t always appreciated in their own time…
And you bet I checked out the Minecraft Wii U port.
I always watch and really appreciate your videos. Thank you for continuing what you do.
Wow that’s so nice of you to say!! I’ll keep on working on new video ideas thanks for supporting me
@@JerooMinecraft of course ^^ and thank you for replying! I hope you don’t rush it and have fun doing it in the future, wether or not you continue with these kinds of videos
I met so many people on there and had a bunch of friends back then
Great to see that people still remember this, I played this all the time with the online friends I met on there. I lost them all obviously, but 8+ years later and I'm still trying to find them again.
I have that as a Child I missed Minecraft Wii u Soo Much Thank you For Show me this
I enjoyed this video, keep up your good work and merry Christmas :>
hell yeah i remember it. i still play the minigames from time to time whenever footballs not on, never gets old
Gosh, I remember these days so vividly. Thank you for making this video and bringing my old childhood memories back again.
minecraft wii u got me hooked to minecraft and me and my dad played it until the switch ver. came out and forgot about the wii u ver. and i have a lot of memories of it and i'll always remember it 🥲
Mario Galaxy 1 + 2 Are my favourite games oat too! 8:17 I also really enjoyed minecraft wiiu edition as a kid.
They are the best right!! The galaxies have so much atmosphere to them and the music is incredible. I replay both games all the time
I play them all the the time too!
I remember role playing on my own in the Minecraft Mario mash up on the Wii U, I loved the Wii U.
I remember playing this all the time with the Mario pack on!
This was probably one of my favorite Wii U games. Just the nostalgia is crazy, and I loved the battle minigames! It was so fun to play spleef with my older brother after getting home from school.
This is the Minecraft from my childhood
Watched all of this, This is one of my favorite Recommended videos I have seen in TH-cam History.
This was my favorite version of Minecraft and I miss all my friends I made along the way I'll always remember you guys :(
I hope someday you get to play with them again ;( it’s so hard losing an online friend over time
@@JerooMinecraft if search up nobledez cereal skins Wii u then youll see some videos from a TH-camr that I used to play with
I think I'm only 1/5 through the video, but I love it.
Yaaay thank you so much for watching. I’m glad this brought so many emotions and memories back to you
you still can , somewhat ,
i'm playing this version on Cemu in 4K , without world generation though , no internet connection ...

Minecraft wiiu is still the main version of the minecraft i play
I remember this version very well I also remember fighting the unused illusioner it was quite the experience good times
As another one of the five people that bought a Wii U, I have countless amazing memories of playing games on it. I actually went back to it with the goal of 100% completing every Mario game I have before Wonder came out. Good times
Underrated game and console, the fact that the XBOX 1 and PS4 are the same age but still running annoys me. LONG LIVE THE WII U!!!
THAT’S WHAT IM SAYING
the wii u edition of minecraft holds such a special spot for me, as a kid i always wanted minecraft and then one day got surprised by parents with it. i played and played and played, it was my first time getting diamonds, first time going to the nether and everything else. i remember the mario mashup pack being awesome too, all the soundtracks, all the items reskins, i even remember building a house in bowsers house in the nether. i was even able to play a good handful of the online minigames with others too and it was a blast its crazy to think i was onlyt 11/12 at the time, but i can all still remember it perfectly, ive still got the physical edition of it to this day, this version was truly something different to me...
I remember playing minecraft Wii U edition so much…
I can’t forget making my first world… making all sorts of buildings and making sure my parents would see it
I was so disappointed to not see all of the minigames maps also on the switch edition😢😢😢
I only had one friend that had the Wii U edition with me. We both tried building maps, and for a while this was my main way of playing Minecraft. I miss that friend. Haven’t talked to him in a while.
the good thing about the wii u edition of minecraft is that wii u emulators exist now so you can emulate minecraft wii u edition on your computer and play it
This version of Minecraft was literally my entire childhood.
200+ worlds, half of them named “new world”
I used to play the battle mode, friend people, and join their worlds and have fun with them and build/grief. 2016 was amazing.
My neighbor used to lend me his Carthage for Minecraft Wii U and it was so fun at the time
i just got the 3ds version of minecraft for chistmas and i really like it. i think it would be cool to try the wii u version someday though (also i love ur voice lol)
Ah, those were the days, remember playing Minecraft on the Wii U with my dad at the time. Console edition Minecrafts are such a vibe
I have 2000 hours on mc wii u
I miss my friends every day… If anyone here remembers a Justdamama id love to reconnect
I used to play this version with my cousins So Nostalgic 🥺😔
Great retrospective! I never had any of the legacy console versions of Minecraft (I've been a Java player since around 2010), so it's really cool to see how much love 4J put into the franchise across all of their ports.
Also, RIP to that poor, defenseless bat. You monster. ;)
8:00 Just speculating, but I'm guessing you're using the wrong color space or range settings.
This edition holds so many memories for me
oh fuck i have so many memories, especially with the multiplayer
I still have my wii. Once a while I glance at the games and sometimes roam around in the old Minecraft. Sometimes I wish you could put all the games you already bought into the switch. But the nostalgia is good. I personally enjoyed playing the Halloween world. Especially the roller coaster ride.
Your one of my favourite TH-camrs like you go back to old Minecraft no one does that but you are a legend
It was such an amazing time when mini game modes were filled with people all the lobbies had tons of people playing and it felt alive
@@JerooMinecraft yea! Me and cousin even joined each other in the lobby, and we didn’t even know until we realized each other voices XD best memory of all time for me and my cousin
Woah that’s such a big coincidence I guess it’s a small world in Minecraft even
I played this game 24/7 as a kid. Would play minigames or the Halloween/festive maps. I also built a ton of towns with friends.
Ahh this version of minecraft,, I never played it, but I did have the ps3 version !! Younger me would’ve loved the Mario pack but I got it now cuz I have the switch, ALSO I LOVE MARIO GALAXY AS WELL,,,, SUCH A GOOD GAME
The Mario texture pack was my favorite thing about it 🥲
Tbh minecraft Ps3 and Minecraft Wiiu edition was my child hood
Hey thank you for bringing me back all those memories
I miss Legacy Edition :(
Many memories of playing Wii u edition man I may not talk to the people I played it with now but they made the game memorable
Dude me and a childhood friend are the other 2 of 5 people that bought this
This was the version I started playing Minecraft on. This game got me into Minecraft, and I thank it for that!
I only had a WII U. Had Minecraft on a kindle and that was it. Waited so so long for Minecraft on WII U to come out. Played the crap out of it
Love your videos
Bruh I was ALWAYS playing on the Minigames!
I remember when me and my brothers just completely RENOVATED Peach’s castle. I would do anything to see that place again
Amazing work! I continue to play this version of Minecraft only for the sake of continuing an old city world, and the mini games before NN shuts down. Happy Holidays!
