Bro I love games like this though. This is giving me Ready Player 1 vibes with everyone hunting for the Easter eggs in the game and this crazy secret that everyone is racing to be the first to discover. I love the vibes and I absolutely love this game.
None of the invader skills work from my testing. I've also tried using Reboot to save the corrupted effect for a longer time but you can't use skills while corrupted so no chance there.
The door has been opened and the answer has been revealed. We put in a hell of a lot of work but it will likely be leaked in the next couple hours or so on either Reddit or YT. Keep an eye out today but the door has finally been opened legitimately and everything has been discovered around this door now.
@@crazyboy9YT Without any major spoilers or leaks, it's a gear check. You have to have 2 specific archetypes, armor set, rings, a specific relic, a specific amulet, and 3 specific weapons in order for the door to be interacted with. The door is locked behind a gear check flag essentially.

Is the corruption effect from Defrag identical to the one some of the random elites sometimes have? As in: Can you verify they don’t stack? If they do, it may require the zone specific one. Another random possibility is a certain item or other condition must also be present. Some melee weapons in particular act as keys to so much content. Off the top of my head, the Labyrinth staff does not have any known uses. However, it does fit the theme of Archon and that door and I wonder if melee or the data blast heavy melee may be the key while corrupted (be it any or specifically from the enemies in the zone). What I intended to try was getting Invader up to Reboot, finding an elite enemy as close as I could to the door, saving my state with Reboot, hauling ass, activating reboot again as it’s going to drop and regaining my corruption and trying to open the door, use the staff, etc. My understanding is folks suspected the effect but have trouble reaching the door before it expires. This is a way to extend it by at least 30 seconds. There may be items or other methods that extend skill duration to give even more time but I can’t recall any off the top of my head so it may be 30 seconds or bust. So that’s my two cents: I intend, when I can, trying to get corrupted and make it to the door using reboot from invader and having the Lab staff just in case. That said, if the mod corruption doesn’t stack it’s likely, though not absolute, getting it from an enemy won’t make a difference. Which leaves any corrupted plus staff. I suspected Invader may be a key here - even if not in how I imagine. To be clear this is my speculation and nothing more based on lore and what we know so far and can rule out. If anyone has tried any or all of this please do let me know.

Assuming you even can. I wouldn’t put it past them to have exclusive hardcore stuff but I don’t think this adds up. No mention of exclusive hardcore items, the door appears in softcore, and I haven’t found any evidence there is any differences in Hardcore but I can’t confirm that. I would guess the door would have an interactive screen in hardcore, or a button to try and push through uncorrupted, to at least give the player a hint. Maybe not though. In any case, people saying they know how to do it that refuse to provide any kind of evidence beyond look at my modified save file should probably be ignored and taken with a grain of salt. If someone doesn’t want to share but wants to prove they’ve done it, they should take a screenshot of the door open or beyond it or with the pre-craft engram item at the least.

as far as i know, "Defrag" is not corruption
