i was thinking the same thing. his arpeggio notes during the solo were even clearer than the original which takes a hell of a lot of skill and timing. some notes were a little sharp and the bridge was a little flat though overall insane
actually his more recent ones are because he plays the early solos in the same position as Slash unlike this one (which still sounds amazing of course). But that's just being pedantic

If you listen with headphones on, you can hear two guitars (referring to 4:09)....This person has played over the original...It's near perfect but sometimes you can hear the original be ever so slightly different in the background. Tone and playing is so top notch that its actually brilliant. Peace out.

I am also a guitar player, played since 12 years. Still it's a really good guitar cover, but im sorry to say it's fake. I ran some sound tests on it and it has no other musical differential vibration in it. I let three diffeferent guitar teachers look at it and they all were in same meaning. The way the strings vibrate in this exact video after he pulls off his finger would cause a different sound. Also he sometimes hites a different string which would cause a sound different than in the original, so I would have detected it. Sorry to disapoint but if he would make a real cover it would still sound great because otherwise it looked liked he played well.

That is because Niko Slash is a god!
SiC Slasherr Guitar Rig from Native Instruments has it. You can find a better version of the tone from Amplitube but since Marshall wont accept the royalties like Mesa, Orange, Fender, ENGL, or SVT, they can't pin point Slash's tone. Also, this is all digital. Gun's N Roses recorded on tape so the tone is deeper and more warm and somewhat muddy from the tape saturation.

This is my favorite song of all time and you nailed it! At one time I played whole song out but some of my licks were not accurate in build up to and the solo but it was very fun to play. I'm having to relearn the song but its slowly coming back to me uhhhhh. Great job Niko!

Ghostly echo going on there dude....when I used to record vocals....we always did the chorus twice and played them together to create that sound......because I was told you can never play or sing the same thing twice identical.....so it creates a natural chorus.....you were that close it was haunting.....well done....peace

Tristan Prince Yeah, the Les Pauls and SGs always sound good. But, some songs should be played with different guitars, simply because a Gibson sounds a bit different than a Jackson or Fender.
