Hi, Aaron, I enjoy watching your digital painting videos. I am using Corel Painter Essentials 8 with a Wacom Intuos Medium tablet on a Mac. I cannot for the life of me figure out how to set keyboard shortcuts for Painter Essentials 8. For example, I want to set the "z" key to undo (in the software itself). And more shortcuts like that, if only I knew how.
How do you save the brushes for that one painting project? Do you have to finish it before starting another project. I seem to loose where I stopped and when I start again later. I have to make a list of which brushes I used ( which I seem to loose or forget)...to keep the same brushes I started with on that project. Thanks for the explanation on grey scale! I finally got it. When you upgrade to Painter 22 or 23, 24, 25 ....is there an easy way to keep all of the special brushes I make? I seem to have lost a lot of brush variants as the years go by.
I know that my question does not fit the video, I have not found a more suitable one for my questions. I still have an EXE file from painter 12 with extra content, and how can I use this extra content in a newer painter version? When I try to install it, a window appears in which I can choose whether I can repair or remove the painter 12, and I can't get the extra content to be used for the 2019 version. I have read that there should be a large colour library with the Pantone colours at import colour library. When I click on import this is not offered to me as a selection, only spectrum, painter colours, greyscale and 72 colours are displayed. Where can I get it? Edit: I have now found the Pantone colour set, which was in the support files and not in resources where the colour set import menu accesses. The typical in the wrong place is the software looking, well then I am not alone incompetent to look for something. Thanks in advance for the help.
I want to draw the outline on a layer, and continue to use that line as my reference to complete my work, how do I sketch the outline and keep it visible above the colour that I am adding to my work?
You can always copy and paste your image hose set from Painter 21 to a different location, Then when you upgrade, you can import the painter 21 image hoses into Painter 22.

I think if you keep the outline layer above the color layer in the layer tree that you are currently painting on, that should do the trick.
Can please tell me if the red poppies are still available in the hose brushes? This is keeping me from purchasing this upgrade.
