Apple typically provides detailed specs for third party manufacturers that include things like the lens’ field of view that need to remain unobstructed. I’m not sure if they’ve published those specs yet but that plastic cover does have cutouts where the sensors are located.
The most important accessories that they should create is a tracking ar vr controller for vr games, and a external battery specifically for this headset that doesn't bother too much.
I am loving using my Apple Vision Pro with my Logitech MX Keys mini and Apple Magic Trackpad. However, am curious on looking for a Bluetooth Keyboard/trackpad combo (with usb C charging) That would make the experience while traveling much better!
You are just straight up wrong about the battery. This is really annoying me as it seems nobody in the tech TH-cam arena has any idea how batteries actually work. The AVP battery is actually massive - total mAh is meaningless unless the devices are running at the same voltage. It's a 35.9 Watt Hour battery. Around the capacity of 3 iPhone 15 pro batteries. And tearing down the battery revealed that it actually has closer to 40 watt hours in total. I think it was a conscious decision, wearing this for more than 3 hours at a time is not healthy.
With you that third party solutions are going to come out. What I would like to see is a solution so you can slip the battery pack into the back a headband solution to counterbalance the weight that is on the front of your head.
So it goes from 180k (highest estimate) to ~500k globally by end of year, still a microscopic market. By comparison, there are 20-30 million Meta Quests. Don’t get me wrong, will not always be so - I expect this to be a massive success, but we won’t know for at least 2-3 years. Right now, they are supply constrained because of the screens, and intentionally priced to limit demand to something approximating supply. In 5 years, I expect (a future version of) this to be a mainstream product, and priced such that normies will buy it. Until then selling a $20-100 product to a market of a couple hundred thousand people is a tough business.
Before you assess the cost of a product, do you understand the cost for raw goods? Labor to handle/assemble? Cost of Marketing & Sales General Overhead? Number of units manufactured? Profit? etc Didn’t think so….
Easy on the snide commentary, especially when it is supposition. Apple extra products are more expensive and always have been. The 3rd party's have to be less expensive to be competitive. Best not bite the hand that feeds you.
These videos are completely useless . Nobody even have the overpriced nonsense in their hands yet. How in the hell do you know what 3rd party accessories to get.
I was looking for a video like this yesterday cause I always buy cases and stuff to have them before I get the device. Sorry for trying to be prepared 😅
Brooooo that leather band is an instant buy 😮💨
I wonder if the cameras and hand tracking will function well with these transparent plastic covers on top.
The cameras are behind the glass. So yeah it should be fine
Idk I don’t think it’ll work as good with it on

Heyyyyy
Third party MFi style game wands/controllers and accessories are going to be wild after we get visionOS 2.0 at WWDC.
The case is huge, the size of a personal item on a flight.
I want there to either be a case or a skin that makes the battery look like a classic iPod with the headphones attached.

The Spigen case is already unavailable 😭

I want to know if I can just turn the outer screen off…I couldn’t care less about the outside screen and it would save some battery 🪫
In apples announcement they said “eyesight” was foundational to Vision Pro” so I’d say no
I want to know the same. I pre-ordered one and am hoping it’s a simple option in Settings
What do you think about zybervr neck battery pack? (Hot swap)

Thanks for sharing. Blessings on your day!
You know where to find us if you want to try out an American-Made, handcrafted case. :)
Why is no one making a bigger battery pack for this thing?
Can any body tell me if it will be posible to use the Vision Pro and be charging it at the same time ?
Yes you have to use it while connected to the battery pack or plugged into a wall (all day use)
From my understanding.
I like to try this device before I buy it.

Such a small market for the first couple years. I hope these companies have realistic volume expectations.
Think world wide sales dude. Right now, it’s just in the states!

Awesome ❤

I got the Apple case but I really hope a 3rd party case makes me change my mind before launch cause it looks kinda huge

Even 90 is too expensive for a case
I feel like they’re trying to make this a thing but it’s not there.
In think you under a rock. Because it is a thing and will be a very big thing in the next 5 years.
Can't you just plug in on the plane? Battery shouldn't be an issue on a plane. Unless you fly in the bathroom.... seriously I've seen these people..😜
2nd
Is there really anyone apart of youtubers and influencers buying this unfinished product? 😬
These videos are completely useless . Nobody even have the overpriced nonsense in their hands yet. How in the hell do you know what 3rd party accessories to get.
Bro it's just to show people what's coming.
Exactly! It happens with phone cases before phones launch amongst other items. This to me is a Samsung fanboy butthurt!

Bro, bro, bbbroooo😂😂😂😂🫠 I spilled my coffee after u explained Apple will charge $200 for that? Damn,
