Rowcruiser Bangarang Saga #7 Santa Barbara to Ventura 30 miles

Woke up at 4am trailered my boat to Santa Barbara harbor and hit the oars with perfectly calm conditions after a stormy winter. Rowed for the first half of the trip and as the day continued, winds and seas increased. Coastguard radioed that a small craft advisory was moving in just as I reached the Ventura Harbor. Fewww! By the time I got inside the harbor, seas were definitely rollin’ and winds were blowing 15-20knots. Perfeft timing! My good friend @_pacwolf_ helped me shuttle my boat back to Pasadena. Very grateful to have supporting friends in this venture. Only 70 miles from Dana Point to San Diego to complete my goal of rowing the southern CA coast.

I would love to but i first need to modify my sails. The race director for the everglades challenge requires all sailboats to have traditionally reefed sails. I have a reef system for the rowcruiser but he doesnt except it. I plan to buy a sewing machine and make my own sails as I save money or I could just row and forget the sails… thats the one cool thing about the rowcruiser…you always have options!

Definitely my favorite section of coastline that I rowed! Point Magu and Malibu were awesome!
