Don't forget that Kansas City gets two games at this summer's Copa America as well: Peru vs. a team to be determined on June 25 (at Children's Mercy Park) and then USA vs. Uruguay on July 1 (at Arrowhead Stadium)
Congratulations to KC. But I don’t see how 6 soccer games is gonna gonna be a tremendous boost to the economy & jobs. (maybe part-time gig jobs for those 6 days) The first round of 4 teams playing. Some diehard fans go to, but are often not sold out.
It depends a lot on the teams they get but it will easily sellout as games did in 1994. If they get a team like England or even Ireland people will go in the tens of thousands and will stay for days ahead of the games they play. The US also has a huge immigrant population from around the world so expect people to jump on board of supporting their ancestral countries even if they dont care about the sport.
Kansas City hosting games from a global sporting event where they have a team that takes part in another sport that is only watched in the USA. That’s crazy!
People from Kansas don't even know how big is this. The World Cup is 10 times more relevant than the Super Bowl, and Arrowhead will host 6 games. Each of those games will have hundreds of millions around the world, plus thousands of foreign fans that will have the opportunity to know the city
All 30 soccer fans in this city. Can't wait to see the empty women's and men's soccer stadiums in the next 10 years. And leaders will sit back and wonder why KC isn't a soccer city.
Imagine mbappe in kansas😭😭
It’s in Missouri
We live in a simulation fr

It's good to see them happy.
Perhaps Patrick Mahomes, Isiah Pacheco and Travis Kelce could help promote this city to the world in run up to the showcase for the year of 2026!
