Making the locals think China is trying to take over their small Australian backwater town is something i never thought id find this funny.
It would really go over in USA cuz all properties are being bought up as it is here by Chinese because everyone just thinks of themselves and the money, no thoughts to why China is doing it, and no current government (2024) has the common sense to deal with it, so ..... In my small town, we literally have a chinese restaurant that is called China. Downtown buildings, and one of em has big flashy neon sign "China." Other properties in town also, registered owners address in China. In 20 years, we will reap our stupidity.

Felt like a comedy movie, that half hour flew by. Talented, funny crew, quick on their feet. The script was hysterical and well executed! This with "The Office" type production and a stylist would really be something great for a live reaction/tv show.

I love how many people think "I didn't give you permission to film me" works.
It does, though, in a limited sense. Filming on someone's private property requires their consent and filming in public for commercial purposes (which this video falls under) requires a license from the council. Seeing as the council here was seemingly uninitiated, they could likely receive a fine. Further, even if the filming of individuals in public (as long as it's for private purposes or you have a license for commercial filming) is possible without their consent, it is very much unseemly to disrespect their wishes, if you are already making money off pranking them, for which their faces are not required to be seen. This, as you can infer from the video, served as a sufficient motivation for censoring the faces of those unwilling to be filmed.
@@wildebeest1454 but there's nothing an individual can do to stop someone from filming them in public. They don't need their personal permission in order to film them from a public place. There are a lot of people who are under the impression that such permission is required when it isn't.
whats crazy to me is about 20 years ago people put up signs all over my small town saying: "coming soon" with a Mc D's Logo on it. We never got the Mc Donald's.
