    Love to see the deep cleaning getting done. Very therapeutic. Two things you don't show on the vids, do you clean the headliner and engine compartment?

    • @lukeheffernan
      @lukeheffernan 2 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      I think he's said previously that he only spot cleans headliners. You really shouldn't ever clean the whole headliner, especially with steam, as it can melt the adhesive. These older Jettas too were notorious for having sagged headliners.

    • @EveryAdventure
      @EveryAdventure 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@lukeheffernan thanks, I normally use a low intensity soap with a nail brush to get rid of the marks and wetvac set to low to get rid of the dirt on the problem areas. Older Jettas is a prone to sag I agree

    I spend my days running with a shammy washing multiple car lots with a huge pressure washer every day and trust me you have to be in shape to do detailing and pressure washing 😂 I tell people all the time it's not an easy job. Much respect man. Diesels are a killer. It's harder than a warehouse job.

    You did an amazing job! I hope he does give it to his son, any kid would be happy with their first car at 16! I had a white Jetta, I always kept it clean because it was white and even living in California, a car gets dirty with just the city streets when I had to go in to town, and I lived near the Pacific Ocean, so there were some paved streets and some dirt roads I had to drive on but luckily I had a garage to protect it from the salty air, I loved my Jetta lol… thank you for sharing and you play the guitar beautifully. Being that it’s still January, have a wonderful year ahead of you! 😁💖

      Hi. I do some very basic detailing on the side and this may be helpful to you. I clean my seatbelts with multisurface cleaner, then I usually take a microfiber towel and put it over head of my steamer to clean them. Works pretty well. Usually doesn't need to be done but if you do, make sure you take the entire seatbelt out!
