Those are my brothers in law, Sonny and Tama, what a nice surprise seeing them. I know first hand that those crabs taste amazing, excited to be going home soon ❤
The guy climbing the coconut trees is built like an NFL linebacker naturally chilling and hanging out in Samoa the other big guy that went to locate crab in the mangroves is as big as an NFL offensive lineman those people in Samoa are truly impressive physical specimens and they were so kind as hosts
Mangroves and its mud are one of the toughest to navigate through, and Jocelyn is just brave and adventurous to be able to decide to do this long walk through the thick mangrove mud. Bravo💪🏽
Jealous and baked. Currently trying to plan a fishing and mushroom foraging day hike along the river with my buddy. Rain forecast for this weekend and Monday is the full moon.
I had a similar experience in Molokai, Hawaii. If you stay at the big corporate owned resort, you’ll be treated to a nonsense corporate experience. Polynesian people are among the finest human beings on planet earth. Stay with them. Live like they do. Your eyes will be opened and your soul will be humbled and fulfilled. God bless the islands and the people of the islands.
Gosh i just put a trap in the stream out back. They say a doctor brought some Samoan mud crabs to Oahu in 1920 and now they are in all of the streams in all of the Hawaiian islands as well as the bays where the streams meet the ocean. Tasty
Taku . Straight into the video and no introduction and endless music that keeps repeating over and over again. I’m Proud of you my Cook Islander brother. Your videos are the reason why I only watch TH-cam videos. I don’t watch Movies anymore because they are predictable and WOKE. I know creating a new dish is very difficult and my advice to you is watch Vietnamese fish dishes. They are my number 1 . From a Aitutaki Cook Islander . Samoa people I’m proud of you for keeping your traditions alive
You can easily see why Samoan People are amazing athletes… Climbing Poles with equipment is hard but climbing trees in an ‘ie with a T-shirt strap on your bare feet 🦶 is crazy hard… Cheers 🍻 to you for even trying 🍻
Never had that kind of crab. Other kind reef crab and mostly ama ama from my Grandparents village in Vaitogi. Not bad though for first time. Last time I climbed was in Hawaii Laie side at the beach, 1989? Didn’t use the shirt though, scratched up my chest and a lot of ant bites. Awesome video, Thank You for sharing. Samoa will always be my Home and in my Heart…❤️🙏🏼🤙🏼
Hello from Elvistown, Taku and Joycelan. Been watching silently for 2 yrs, love ya show. Big worms? Hmm, I used to say in the Army, "Everything goes good with a beer", but I don't know. Memphis, 10
I'd love to see a South East Asia series and see what Taku will whip up with local ingredients such as Mud lobster and the crazy big river prawns they have out there.
Always fun watching you taku great attempt at the tree need some upper body strength though. I so miss eating crab curry always ate it when I was young now it's so difficult to find.
LOL in our rural community, I saw somebody bragged climbing a coconut tree upside down (feet up). The Samoan technique is the same as in our rural areas.
Taku gotta get redemption video next trip, on the coconut tree climb. Your hands bear hug grip the tree trunk and your feet uses the “aufaga” to hug the coconut for traction. I thought the cat was gonna show you up for a second, show you how it’s done vibes lmao..😂
That resort is super lame for wasting so much of your time! However I love the more rustic catch and cooks you do and even though this didn't go as planned its still tha authentic experience i love about your channel. Yay Taku Tuesday!!
Oh dear Jocelyn, wait until the hot flashes start 20+ years from now. Keep that fan in a closet until you need it again, because I wish I had one like it now.
Good try climbing the tree taku, it look so easy when he did it, but when we do it ourselves is hard. I love those hand fans that Jocelyn got , did you guys get a chance to learn how to make them?
i imagine eating that worm is like eating a soft plastic bass ned rig worm lmao. the guy has thick feet and hands, his body has adapted to climbing those trees which is why you cant do it as easily as he can
That hotel or motel you stayed at missed a great marketing opportunity. In Rarotonga we went fishing and the resort kitchen cooked our fish for us. Excellent vedio and thankyou for sharing. Still loved your Niue Vedios
i love this inside look of different culture soo amazing how people adapt to living in different places over the world i wish i could help that family u were with that cooked u the crabs ! but u needed to extend ur legs out more taku u would of shimmied up that tree no problem !
Those are my brothers in law, Sonny and Tama, what a nice surprise seeing them. I know first hand that those crabs taste amazing, excited to be going home soon ❤
If that's true that's pretty awesome to see them on TH-cam video

Gosh i just put a trap in the stream out back. They say a doctor brought some Samoan mud crabs to Oahu in 1920 and now they are in all of the streams in all of the Hawaiian islands as well as the bays where the streams meet the ocean. Tasty
That Sumoan has been climbing trees his whole life, besides his arms are as big as your legs😂

"I love how this video flows, the editing is really top-tier!"
Samoans are no joke. Awesome people.
Our city feet aren't callus enough for the jungle climb. Haha.

Hello from Elvistown, Taku and Joycelan. Been watching silently for 2 yrs, love ya show. Big worms? Hmm, I used to say in the Army, "Everything goes good with a beer", but I don't know. Memphis, 10

Dope video you gotta try catching a Rooster Fish sometime!
You are the only one on Earth eating crab and fanning at the same time!
LOL in our rural community, I saw somebody bragged climbing a coconut tree upside down (feet up). The Samoan technique is the same as in our rural areas.
I’m Samoan born n raised on the island. Whatever that worm was in the beginning? I’ve never seen in my life 😅
Hey Taku, I’m not sure if you can grow coconut trees where you’re at but if you have a greenhouse you can totally make sprouted coconut
that coconut tree guy is so damn cool
Im from the texas gulf coast and can say that heat and humidity is humbling lol. I cant even imagine a pacific island.
so if you had the time, the question is what WOULD you have made?
Or Will, what would you have cooked?
I lived in Samoa for 21 years of my life never tasted that and never seen it before lol. Oh maybe my village didn't have any lol
Thank you🎉
Taku gotta get redemption video next trip, on the coconut tree climb.

My guess resort wants people to spend money on their foods. Greedy bastards!
Good job at the coconut tree. 🥥 ❤
Oh dear Jocelyn, wait until the hot flashes start 20+ years from now. Keep that fan in a closet until you need it again, because I wish I had one like it now.
Never skip leg day, Taku
😂😂
Jocelyn way stronger than me for that hike also that guy climbing that tree
That’s true body strength
You'll have to come back to Australia guys and catch some mud crabs and blue swimmer sand crabs to compare the difference between the two
I'd try a sea worm with your kelp chili crisp.😊
Your next trip you MUST attempt to climb the tree again… lol
Great content as always ❤
Magaia kou aka✨
That sea worm, Here in Mindanao, Philippines we call it Sasing and we eat it raw as well. Like Kinilaw.
Watching you try climbing the coconut tree is hilarious
The good thing about our island is that there are no alligators poisonous snakes and other dangerous animals.
11:26 OMG Joslin is really pretty. Taku you are one lucky dude... :)
Good try climbing the tree taku, it look so easy when he did it, but when we do it ourselves is hard. I love those hand fans that Jocelyn got , did you guys get a chance to learn how to make them?
i imagine eating that worm is like eating a soft plastic bass ned rig worm lmao. the guy has thick feet and hands, his body has adapted to climbing those trees which is why you cant do it as easily as he can
Wasn't expecting the roe to suck. Usually that's the secret good part in a crab.
That hotel or motel you stayed at missed a great marketing opportunity. In Rarotonga we went fishing and the resort kitchen cooked our fish for us. Excellent vedio and thankyou for sharing. Still loved your Niue Vedios
We need an outdoor chef life/field days coab!!!! Please!!!
Looking like Mowgli from jungle book climbing that banana tree 😂 hell yeah bro what an experience 🤜🤛
Having Taku kind of money is good. Very comfortable life...
He’s a big dude. Makes the tree look small.
Awesome!
I may to lay off the weed! but I cant stop watching!
Come to Guam and Rota.
Love your content, have been watching for a long time. But with that being said, you look like Mr. Peepers trying to climb the tree.😂😂😂
