Hands down the most incredible podcast I’ve ever seen, Mike Tyson is the greatest specimen I’ve ever heard speak, his mind set on life is truly inspiring
Mike Tyson: "Discipline is doing what you hate to do, but do it like you love it" Something anybody can apply to any rationale in life. You have to love Mike Tyson
I don't think there's anyone in the world i'd rather have a deep conversation with than Mike Tyson. Man probably has lived more of life than anyone in the world. The amount of lessons he must have to tell is insane.
Mike Tyson is proof that the mind is the most powerful thing we posses. He was pulled from a very tough, troubled life and taught the art of boxing along with unrelenting self belief by Cos Dematto. He achieved things in his life he couldn't have dreamed of. He also ran into trouble, addiction, prison and being broke. Then yet again, resurrects himself from the depths to give himself and his family everything he/they deserve. A truly amazing man. Feed your brain positivity and goals and see what happens.
Wtf are you talking about???....This man's mind is so broken, he's just barely able to keep it together. Boxing was the perfect outlet for him, because his brain is like a revved up pitbull's that needs to be unleashed on something. Fortunately for him, he had a body that could be used in sport. The guy always one wrong move, one bad thought, from spiraling down in ending back up in jail. He's taking a big risk in putting himself in that mindset to compete again and he knows it. I just hope he doesn't overdo it with the T-therapy and other supplements, and is able to keep his cool throughout all of this.
"If we knew who we were, we would be very limited" Such a quickly passed over thing Mike said, but damn I felt that. It's all about the journey of discovering who you really are and what you were meant to do that really matters and opens up all these different paths
I noticed that, too. I really love Joe, and I don’t want to criticize. But I wish he would have noticed the conversation was begging for the question, ‘how do you reconcile the enlightened mentality you’ve nurtured in the last ten years with the warrior mentality of 20 years ago?’, rather than continuing to try to make it about “the killer is back!” I think he was just overly excited and missed the real story. But it was still good.
Joe keeps trying to reignite the “old Mike” but it’s clear from his first couple of responses that he wants nothing to do with it but Joe keeps on persisting that he’s the “old Mike”. It’s obvious that it makes him uncomfortable and that he doesn’t wanna talk about it. I kind of wish he would stop nagging him about it and stop tryna light that fire.
*So weird. How come he is not your typical, leftist indoctrinated "victim". Damn it. How did he succed? Punching can only get you so far. Not that far. At all.*
As a young man that lost his mentor/farther figure cus, certain people abused his power and wealth ,but to see this man come through is so beautiful this interview was great and funny.Respect to both
Roy Jones Jr has to be watching this and wondering what he's got himself into. It's an exhibition match and Tyson is talking about reawakening inner demons and all that.
Roy jj: "yeah Mike! I think it's gonna be a great fight man we'll have a good match and see what its like to get in the ring again after all this time." MT: "Yeah man! but Roy can you tell me why I get an erection when I think about bashing your smile into the back of your skull?"
I don't usually listen to a full Joe Rogan podcast, although I do like him and what he does. That said, this was one of the best interviews I've ever heard. Two really cool guys vibing, and Mike is one of the greatest men of our era.
Mike is sharp without weed. He’s such a humble person and doesn’t mind complimenting another man. Some people look at that as a weakness. It’s awesome to have such a special champ in our lifetime
mark miniard it’s amazing really. I’ve never seen a person change so much. From telling Lennox Lewis he was going to eat his children, in those days he couldn’t have been less humble. Proof that people can change.
Tyson is my hero. I grew up watching him destroy everyone. Mike’s greatest win was overcoming himself. I have battled my demons. Mike gives me hope. Tyson has made a greater impact now than he ever imagined before!
You said it perfectly! Mike’s podcast and interviews help me a lot when I get depressed. He relates to me more than any family member I have. I wish I could meet him.
Literally Tyson is probably my favourite comeback story as a human. Probably George Foreman is the other one that comes to mind. That great loss to Ali completely crushed him (favourite fight to watch), and comes back for a world title at 50 or something crazy. Tyson Fury’s come back is beautiful too - just a short period of time.
As a big Tyson fan when I was a young guy. It makes my heart happy to see Mike as happy as he has been over the recent years. Glad he has peace. I know this video is 3 years old but it still makes me happy
Mike can do whatever he wants. He needs to teach this young lion a lesson in humility and respect which he will do with one punch or first landed combo
Complete bullshit. Only stupid people believe that. For instance, do you think Tyson could win the Physics Nobel prize within the next 5 years? No, that's impossible, doesn't matter how hard he tries.
@@classyviper1one I replied at the time but for some reason TH-cam deleted my answer. I guess it was too humiliating for him. Come a long way from hiding between buildings. Had to make that tough persona to survive early on and got lost for a while. Then through exile learned a lot and obtained directional controlled focus. Hopefully he doesn’t loose it and break again during the fight with Mr. Jones.
Mike Tyson is a very great, very intelligent, very insightful person. If we could be like Mike the world would be a better place. I just love him. And I really think I understand him.
I'm in my late 50s now. I wonder if the young guys truly understand the gift they're receiving by listening to two men in their fifties discuss life. One of them was the baddest man on the planet at one time. These confessions were held in backrooms amongst mature me when I was a teenager. A comparable for my generation would be to watch and listen to Mohammed Ali at 54 baring his soul with Johnny Carson or maybe George Carlin. Youngsters (10-30 y.o.) , you're so lucky today!!
@Solowolf We sure are lucky to listen to these men discuss life, I'm a youngster and feel more than grateful for being able to listen to the wise and inspiring lessons these men teach us. However, I'm not sure if this is appreciated equally as much by every youngster. When you were a teenager, the world must've been a sort of mystery, ready for you to be explored. Nowadays, every single thing one wants to know, and every single person one wants to know more about, it's all just a few clicks away. To me, that takes away the mystery and so the excitement that are supposed to come with hearing the stories. Every 'special' person and 'special' occasion becomes less impressive, it's difficult to keep a high level of admiration for the legends when you know there are so many different stories out there. Also, the younger generation probably won't realise how lucky they are being able to listen to these people, because we continuously try to pursue the future. We live there. Past legends often aren't of much importance to them.
Truly inspirational beacons for us men in our prime today. Their Intelligence, both mental and emotional are off the charts. Wisdom oozing throughout the ethers..."WHAT A TIME TO BE ALIVE"!!! Everything Is everything and we can do anything!!! 👉🏿💚🔥🔥🔥🔥💚💚💚🔥🔥🔥🔥th-cam.com/video/TxEZzFZf6wI/w-d-xo.html
Fanny Annie I love soft Mike. I relate to him in many ways, and I’m sure many people say things to themselves like Mike says to himself. We all have that internal battle to fight. Life is same within us as much as it is without. I think Mike was trying to touch on this and get some insite from Joe when he mentions getting high. Mike wanted to dive in the deep end and Joe kinda stayed in the shallow only, because Joe is excited for Mike’s fight. I read a cool quote recently from Aristotle about distilling, and spirits. Everything in this life can be distilled. When we consume things our body distills it internally. When we consume something that’s already been distilled we get a much more concentrated form of it. Our lungs distill air, our stomached distill water, our eyes distill light Mike is cool
I like there talk about conquerors, and freeing slaves. Reminds me of the documentary of Treasures From The Wreck Of The Unbelievable. About the slave who bought his own freedom. Then stole, traded, bought, and collected to most amazing treasure in history. It was only recorded in fictional books. I get emotional thinking about what Mike says when he describes one person trying to change history. That’s where humans emotional intelligence really comes into play. It’s happening right now across this whole world. We are discovering our own personal emotional intelligence. This is a great episode. Thanks Joe Rogan, and Mike Tyson.
I never woulda thought being born in 81 and watching tysons career inside and out of the ring that later in life i consider mike one of the wisest humble intellects blessing those with eras to hear
I felt like Mike was being so wise with his emotions, whilst Joe was trying to bring the wild side of him out. Mike was having none of it. I learnt so much from that
My favorite Tyson quote is when he was talking about how people will talk about him in the future and he said " they'll say, wasn't that one bizarre individual."

If you have that degree of destructive potential in your fists, living inside civilized society, I mean Christ...no wonder he's after the Zen. The man is absolutely terrifying there's simply no way us plebs can comprehend his struggles. Dude has demons and any day we don't have to face em too that's a good day. Jesus some brave ass bitch married the guy. Bravest human on planet earth. I love him but I'm scared somehow just watching a damn interview.
Because Islam has brought peace to him. When you understand who is your creator And how God almighty has blessed you than materialistic things don’t mean anything
Most terrifying I've found Mike Tyson is this short clip on TH-cam. Type in "Mike Tyson sometimes I feel like a bitch" i am probably wrong but i think that's roughly around the time he started training or maybe the reason he did.
Mike Tyson is the scariest person alive. When he's talking about getting hard from hurting people it's really the most real moment I've heard him have.
Tyson is a freaking animal. The man was born to be a fighter. What I find interesting is that only cus could make him become what he became. That was a special bond that they had together.
The thing is that mike Tyson is really an animal. You look on his eyes and you are not 100% sure if he is gonna laugh and give you a hug or if he is gonna try to break your skull in two pieces, that’s why he is scary.
Joe: "If you were born in the times of Alexander the Great you would also be a conqueror?" Mike: "No, I am a conqueror now because I've conquered myself and my demons."
... and Mike breaks out laughing. If people thought he was dangerous running only on ego... now he has the mindset of steel too. He will have moves no one has seen before, he will be able to be 'in the now'. So damn interesting. That's a hero we need.
Mike: "I really struggle with the thought that I could really hurt someone" Joe: "Oh so you like don't want to hurt someone, you would feel bad." Mike: "No, like its orgasmic sometimes"
Mike Tyson has become Cus D'Amato personified!! Greatness, like Mike Tyson, will always give their progressions to how they attained their abilities through the practice of mentored disciplines and commitment to excellence in any endeavor. His candor and excitement to what he was looking forward to at this moment in his journey is very inspiring. If we take the time to listen and learn we can attain the realm we are intended to achieve.
Like he said talking about conquerors, how fathers wanted there thoughts embodied through there sons. Cus viewed Mike as a son and though teaching him Mike now embodies Cus as a son.
Respect is due for a remarkable man indeed Cus D'Amato. It was some time ago now that I found the training videos and watching them on repeat and being thankful that these recordings were made and still exist , i mean back then the importance, relevance, historical content would not have been thought about , but by eck how blessed are we to have the footage here.......
Lol this man beat ANY biggest pro fighting man with his bare fists for a long time..🤣🤷🏾♂️ you can be stupid and do that lol... that guy is short asf he is different, scary asf not to mess with
i think the media shits on the wrong people and then raise up the wrong people as well, especially if a guy is humble he going to get shit on and if a guy exposes the truth like alex jones he’s also going to get shit on but if you mock god or entertain the devil like lil dicky, lil naz x, billie eillish, kanye west, kendrick lamaar, etc then you will be raised on a platform for everyone to see, people say oh its entertainment but if yall read your bible that is clear blasphemy
But... He is 😂. He’s just so chill it’s easy to forget. Mike used to be a BAAAAAAAAADDDDDDDD MAN😰 in many since of the word. Great fighter. Great mind. Great man.🙌🏽
The contrast between Mike as a young athlete and Mike as this spiritual and emotionally open old man is just fun to witness as a fan. There’s plenty to take away from his words for anyone willing to think intrinsically about their own journey.
For his age and his profession, I’m so happy Mike is one of the most intellectual and intelligent guests Joe has had on this podcast. The conversations are absolutely amazing. Stay healthy Mike.
Mike Tyson seems to have had huge growth in his life, I think it's hard for Joe Rogan to comprehend that. Joe Rogan seems to be an average person, which is why he is liked, but Mike is bad ass in a good way if it makes sense. Joe Rogan keeps on talking about how it feels to be Mike Tyson and prepare for the fight etc, but what he doesn't realize this is the evolved Mike Tyson preparing for a fight, who doesn't really care about personal wealth or accolades. He is the Mike Tyson who progressed mentally, spiritually in his life and understands the greater purpose in life. Joe keeps on pushing him in the corner and asking him the same questions in different ways was exhausting to watch.
I think that what Joe Rogan is the best in the world at is engaging people. He has filled thousands of hours of the best entertainment. That is a gift. To engage the widest range of people you could can find on the entire planet and pull meaningful conversation for hours from them. That is his gift. Nobody else has ever done this.
I could listen to Mike all day.. I think it's because you can never tell what he is about to say. But once he does, regardless if it makes complete sense or not it could just be the coolest shit you've ever heard.
Joe - Many say you are interested in the title Mike - I'm interested in the title of giving... Most powerful words I've heard on the show in many years. Big respect.

He also got an education from Norman Mailer.
what an absolute legend. whether or not you like boxing, it's beyond that.
Great man!
Say Mike Tyson everyone knows his name. Thats proof of genius. Even though he sounds like he doesn't care and wants to fight all he is a genius.

Joe keeps trying to get him to talk about his warrior mentality and mike wants to talk about finding inner peace.
@Solowolf
We sure are lucky to listen to these men discuss life, I'm a youngster and feel more than grateful for being able to listen to the wise and inspiring lessons these men teach us.
As a 28 year old I can absolutely confirm this.
Agreed, coworkers joke about how I'm always listening to joe Rogan while they're listening to wap and shit 🤦♂️

He cleared his throat for the world to see hahahaha
The contrast between Mike as a young athlete and Mike as this spiritual and emotionally open old man is just fun to witness as a fan. There’s plenty to take away from his words for anyone willing to think intrinsically about their own journey.
Who said anything about Mike being an old man? He is a wise man! Not old.
Mike Tyson makes be believe it's never too late to change yourself for the better
Thanks for this comment i feel the same way, long live IRON MIKE
Old Man 🤫
@BigMcChicken yep
When tyson was younger I admired him as a fighter now he is a grown man I admire him as a person..
That's deep.
@Tom Brady shut up tom brady
Yes sir!
Okay. Good to know.
I'm 14 and that's very deep
For his age and his profession, I’m so happy Mike is one of the most intellectual and intelligent guests Joe has had on this podcast. The conversations are absolutely amazing. Stay healthy Mike.
Have you seen the Elon Musk interview with Post Malone?!

Hes really not. As much as i love mike he doesnt have shit on many of joes guests and hed admit that
Mike Tyson seems to have had huge growth in his life, I think it's hard for Joe Rogan to comprehend that. Joe keeps on pushing him in the corner and asking him the same questions in different ways was exhausting to watch.
finally someone said it
I think that what Joe Rogan is the best in the world at is engaging people. He has filled thousands of hours of the best entertainment. That is a gift. To engage the widest range of people you could can find on the entire planet and pull meaningful conversation for hours from them. That is his gift. Nobody else has ever done this.
Whenever I think I can't love Mike Tyson anymore, I am overwhelmed by him.
I could listen to Mike all day.. I think it's because you can never tell what he is about to say. But once he does, regardless if it makes complete sense or not it could just be the coolest shit you've ever heard.
Me, too. I'm a fan for life
Same!
Being a conqueror cause he conquered himself and his demons.
That's pretty badass.
💕💜🖤
The only interesting thing Tyson said the entire time.

Joe - Many say you are interested in the title
Mike - I'm interested in the title of giving...
Most powerful words I've heard on the show in many years. Big respect.
The philosophy of Mike Tyson is a powerful thing to witness.
He's really is very philosophical in his wording
I've had the privilege living in Vegas many years to meet him... he has legit positive energy around him. Great man.

The fact I get to see a person like Mike Tyson talk about DMT brings a tear to my eye. Everyday is a blessing!
Mike wearing a shirt of himself in the 80s is the best thing about this video.

Lol! Been watching this video for an hour and it never dawned on me.
