Thanks once again guys. Very timely, just sorting out the new boat. Would be interested in your lead line set up, too. Rod, reel, line choices etc. Fantastic to find a channel where you share so much info, if not your fish scent!! You've definitely got my young bloke and I keen to get down your way once that border opens up! Cheers PP
Hey mate, thank you so much for the positive comments. We love sharing what we know and comments like yours are what makes it all worthwhile. Cheers, and tight lines!👍
Excellent video once again! Can't wait to get back to Dart as soon as these bloody restrictions end, missed out on my winter trip, hopefully late September early October is a goer. Looking forward to part 2 👍
Fishtalk Video absolutely Roscoe! It's certainly put a whole new perspective on life, love these videos on Dart and your willingness to share your local knowledge. Keen to see the next one tomorrow. Cheers mate 👍
It's a bit hard to see as you can see. hahaha Love it. Is that a tautology? Great video, ethereal conditions. I love that place. I was talking to Sandy on the phone earlier today, we need to get back up there for a Dartmouth mission. Great work fellas.
Thanks Robbie, as I said "we're back in our happy place". Love the solitude. A great place to enjoy the company of a mate while the rest of the world is doing something else!
Hi David, we use braid, however the choice of release clip is vital. I used to use Scotty hairtriggers on all lines but found that when I used fine braid it was prone to slipping, so with thin line I now use the clamp type with rubber pads. I have been given a new clip to trial from the USA, and it looks great. Will try it out on the next trolling video.
@@davidlowe1975 I don't think colour is an issue, we usually have either a ford fender, or if trolling with a straight lure a short piece of mono with a keel anyway. Certainly have used plastic minnows with a flutter disc attached with success at times.
@@FishtalkVideo could you do a lockdown video from home running through your downrigging set up from rod choice, downrigger set up and some lures that work for you?

Thanks Greg. We will all appreciate the things we took for granted in the future, that's for sure. Part 2 will probably be up some time tomorrow.

Good one fellows, looking forward to the next one, thanks
Glad you enjoyed it Chris. Part two will be up soon.
Love your videos , been fishing dart for 20 years but very jealous as I’m stuck in Melbourne under stage 4 restrictions.
Keep up the good work !
Thanks for the feedback, Warren. With a bit of luck things may ease in the near future, and you'll be back stalking the fish! Cheers.

Hey guys, love your videos!! I’m just starting with a downrigger.
Do you use mono or braid on your rod with riggers. Any advice would be great.

@@FishtalkVideo thanks very much, does colour make any difference at 30 to 50ft? And have you tried plastics on the downrigger?

good stuff salmo trutta slayers
Hopefully the restrictions will be lifted soon, Darren. I predict a flood of people up there when that happens!!
Do the downrigger clips work with braid?
Cheers
Peter
Yes mate, we only use braid. We use two types of clips; Scotty hairtrigger and pinch clips, and both work fine with braid.
