Lovely video of what is becoming a 'rarer' breed of cutter in the US now, (without GPS) - well filmed. At around 5.35 you can see why those tractors need AWD the way those front wheels were slipping. What is the bar across the top of the windscreen for ? - I wondered if it was to run water down the windscreen to get the mud off that was thrown up by the front wheels, it was sure dirty enough.

Dairy farms are very hard on tractors. I think perhaps sugar cane farms might rival that.
They are finished harvesting cane in Convent Louisiana it's also were my grandfather grew up.

No it was not. They pulled the hydraulic motors off to use on something else.
