Cool video 👍 love watching Tractors in the mud. Wish you had a video of different tractors fighting the mud.

Awesome video like always! I am amazed at how well the harvester is able to get them blown over cane! Good thing for the chaff otherwise it would be even harder for the tractors to drive! Be very interesting how a new 8RX John Deere tractor with row crop tracks would do in your mud ah? Maybe tracks have been tried? Up here in oh Canada 🇨🇦 the tracks are causing even more problems! They get all built up with mud during the day and it freezes solid over night! Ripping tracts and ect...

I'd like to see how those new tracked JD's would do in the mud.. would be interesting for sure.

Aerial Ag Oh ya that would be super interesting!! OK John Deere send a few demo units to the Louisiana sugar cane harvest! Like the tracked cane combines with tracks don’t get stuck! Do they?

Hi there. I got a question about the tire setup on the John Deere tractor..
Why they are running this high tires in the front and real small ones on the rear axle (compared to the front ones)?
They obviously had to modify the transmission for the four wheel drive to make this tire combination possible.
The Deere with that tire setup seems to have a pretty hard time in these ground conditions.. The Case with the standard tire combination seems to do better..

They use this setup for the high clearance.

How much distance between the two lines of cane in foot. And per Acer how many tons yield.

They got some big ole lady nuts on them drivers doing some legit driving skills, harvester is doing a great job getting it up off the mud.

When do they use the cutters on the arm in front of the driver ?

That's called the topper. It cuts and discards the green tops which is trash. The topper only works if the cane is standing straight up. If the cane is down and lodged like it is here, the topper is pretty useless which is why you see it turned off. If you look at some of my other videos, you can see the topper in action.
