Thanks for the coverage. Had planned to come along with my dad since the tickets first released but were spoiled with how good the Scramble was in April and given the tensions last weekend in the country and not really feeling the same excitement this time we cancelled plans

Nice coverage. The '70's Skyline is my favourite. Shame you didn't cover the Peugeot 106 Rallye in front of the Pantera. Would have loved to see that properly. I read somewhere that the 106 Rallye won car of the show. Seems like a great event and i hope to visit the next ph event at Bicester.

I really look forward to your videos. The range of events you feature is terrific, especially for those subscribers such as myself that live in the ‘ frozen north’ I.e. North East Scotland and can’t attend in person. Your automotive knowledge is second to none and you should be congratulated for it. My only criticism is please, please, please try to find alternative superlative terms other than ‘ absolute treat’ or ‘immense’. It does get a bit repetitive, sorry !

Thanks Graham, you’re right on the vocabulary… when I’m doing the edit the repetition only becomes apparent 🤷‍♂️ I will try harder!!

You can always play " Lot 76 bingo" Graham. 😁
It's hard thinking on your feet about the car, making sure you got good footage and commentary all at the same time. For a non professional I think Simon does a great job and is a proper enthusiast so think we should forgive him a bit of repetition now and then.

Wow that Eventer looks great. Often conversions like this can result and a design that doesn't look coherent but this works every but as well as that one off Of Peugeot 505 break Riviera we saw at the NEC last year. In fact it's probably more handsome than the original XJS.
The Honda insight was a fascinating vision of a future that hasn't come to fruition, innovative engineering and very efficient yet today we are told that an electric SUV is the way to go green.
Wow a BMW M1, what a unicorn. This has to be one of the coolest BNW's and I'm surprised it's not held in higher regard alongside other historic M cars, perhaps it's the sheer rarity that keeps these under the radar.
Love a bicec308 and nice to see one not in resale red. The SD1 vitesse would be my pick but the days of cheep SD1's are king gone.
I saw a 968 sport at a recent show. Perhaps not as well known as the 944 but a great car with that 3.0 engine.
The R129 always looked so modern and elegant and still wears its years well.
Mirage cars are very high quality replicas. I took a look at there countach earlier this year and many parts such as the wheels, lights, interior etc were genuine Lamborghini parts and the dimensions are also true to the original. Replica car beva dirty word but where original cars run into millions of pounds a good replica is worth the investment.
I've always liked the E34, even just the standard BMW saloon. You can see family resemblance to the E30 but I always felt these looked way more modern.
The Roma has to be one of the prettiest front engines Ferrari's (if not prettiest GT car).on sale today.
917K.rwolica looks fantastic and I'm the most iconic livery. You would definitely feel like Steve McQueen driving that.
I've never seen a 300 SL in such an eye catching colour before.
You are right about the engineering of old Mercedes, it's what made them special in a way that the new ones can't match.
246 Dino is beautiful. The budget junior Ferrari that is now one of the more expensive classic Ferrari's.
I've seen one genuine Daytona last year but these are not common and when you do see one your always left wi dering if it's genuine.
The Audi is another example of a company whos cars sold on engineering prowess back in the day, very different to the brand today.
The C8 Corvette may seem radical being the first to have a mid mounted engine but Chevrolet have been trying to do this since the 1960's but American buyers have traditional buying habits and changing the formula is a huge gamble.
I'd love to build an Ultimate. Apparently everything you need due. To the last nut and bolt is included, loads of support with the build and one owner told me he used to get washed after work before building the car as it was like assembling a a kit full of shiny new components with not a spec of dirt in sight
It's a Shane cars like the Senator no longer exist in our market as many mainstream manufacturers were good at these big luxury cars but badge prestige killed off so many.

Thanks Mark, an interesting selection of cars, I loved the peppermint SL Merc but even for me the green on green might be hard to live with.. story was that it had been repainted but the green was a colour available in period apparently! The M1 BMW was a rare one, I don’t recall seeing one before and the new Corvette was actually very appealing, more so than previous generations in my opinion.

Different mix of cars at the PH event compared to the "Scramble". Now you have been to both which one do you prefer Simon ?
We played " Name the McLaren" in the parking area. I was rubbish !😂

@@kevinbray9550 indeed, don’t asked me for a detailed narrative on McLarens.., I’m stumped as they look so similar. It’s great to see super cars occasionally but I think I’m more of a puritan spec guy at heart!!
