  • The ultimate prospecting rig! Having a mini trommel to go prospecting with will save me time and hard labor. I hope this video helps some people on how to tackle one of these themselves. Once you get to know my mining method, you will notice I am a lazy prospector that doesn't like digging by hand. Hope you enjoy:)

My father told me that you want a lazy man that will work hard on almost every crew, that way someone is always looking for an easier, more efficient way while your getting it done. If everyone is just concentrating on working hard, nobody would think of new ways that are easier and faster, or even just easier and safer. Thanks for the craftsmenship, and the information, I can't wait to see this stuff in use! Peace.

I love this. I’m that lazy guy. I work really hard to be lazy. If I can find a faster, more efficient, safer way to do things, I usually end up doing that. Half the time, my ways end up being the thing no one thought of till my lazy butt showed up looking for break time. 😉

@gyvren How does that old saying go? "Lazy" is the mother of all creation..... no " necessity is the mother of all creation. I like the Lazy one better hahah

I've searched the 70 on it even. Care to share which series it is? Love the spider gear coupling. That little bit of rubber saves chain wear(stretch). having the "soft" start due to thar rubber helps a ton.

Yes that would work 100%!!!! Be simple to make a small sheetmetal ring on each side of the sprocket. That would prevent it from popping off. The unit got about 100 hours on it this summer and didn't have a issue but one day it will happen, hahah . Thanks for watching:)

Run car exhaust in there for 45 minutes before you start cutting it
And then drill holes along the area where you're going to cut it so fumes can escape
Or fill it full of water and keep the hose going in there so it never empties with water as you're cutting it and you will remain safe cuz nothing can catch on fire if it's all very than water

Ouch! I just paid 132 for a 12"×36×3/8! Is that for a 4x8 sheet? To make a mini bucket.
I like your mini sluice, but I have an idea to use a trailer that you haul your mini on by converting it into a sluice!
I take it your in bc ! Thanx for the reply, cardboard aided design,I like that, I wonder how many caught that !
      Computer aided design !
Regarding claims in bc,you stated bc has a lot of rules:
I had claims in bc,I was told I only needed to file my report of assessment and my technical report or sow,(which needs better clarification)and I can't use my old data, when i buy back my claims! The girl in the office refused my report because I had not put my " event #" and she didn't bother to look it up,even though she's in front of a computer, the younger generation thinks the computer will do all the work,I called her a lazy dog fucker!(I apologized later)and I was just gettong over being sick do just a bit itritable!
Not that I'm abusive towards woman, but she ticked me off,by being lazy and costing me my claims!
,but that office has questionable ethics, one told me I could remove abandoned equipemt, then when I asked Victoria main office for a release, she asked me who said that,so i told her it was a secretaty in the Hornby office, who called me shortly thereafter and boldfaced lied and denied she said that!
I also sent it as a paper report, she said they prefer it online, don't have to actually do any work that way I guess!
An interesting comment about mining in the in the Yukon versus BC, 3 years ago, you had to do an environmental assessment of fish and wildlife. it sounds like that's all changed!
Perhaps you can make cad plans for the sliuce & trommel ?
Note, any time a prospector in BC WITH A FREEMINERS CERTIFICATE, buys a claim, it automatically generates an"event number" that anyone in the ministry of mines in Bc can see, just by pulling up your licence and prospectors number, there is no excuse for the behavior of these office clerks to sit there and not bother to look up any "event number of a claim you purchased " the office on Hornby st, in dt Vancouver, I've been in and I could only see 2 secretaries divide 1000 claims to review by 300 days!secretaries working there!
I bantered back and forth with this woman to get my reports of work in,if there's only about 1000 claims in bc to view reports on,I find it redundant that they are so used to having the computer do it all, paper reports are acceptable, also reports on dvd or cdrom, but they like the online version,as they only have to verify your report of work complies ,but to sit there, and file your fingernails, put on makeup,I told her off, your just sitting there looking pretty, aka not doing much work! Couldn't be bothered to enter my event number, and I asked her why she didn't! She just sent me on the merry go round of rules I need to read, instead of putting my event number on the file, which cost me my claims!
      Thanks Brianna.
And there's a Pakistani man who was rude,he referred to me as" this guy"!
In 2007,I asked if there were open claims on Scotch creek, the Hornby office said yes,but a month later, they were all
      Gone, insider trading????
