Looks like you were really getting the hang of flying it by the end of this video. You really should fly higher though, the plane should be above those trees in the background. This just gives you more time to react when the wind tries to flip it, or you do something wrong etc. I'd also suggest putting big foam or rubber wheels. They probably would have let you get away with some of the rougher landings. I know what you mean about wind in January though, I could feel how nervous you were lol. Of course you need to learn to fly in wind, because you'll have to eventually but hopefully the weather will get calmer and better soon. Good video!
I forgot to mention: Set up your ailerons as flaperons. I can see you had the same problem I did before doing this, it's difficult to slow the plane down for a landing which makes most landings very hard and often something gets broken. This makes both of them move down at the same time. IIt looks like you use the same FlySky transmitter as I do, and while it's not easy to set up you can get 2 flap positions. It will help slow the plane down a lot for landings, you'll get a lot more lift which means you should usually land on low rates.
Thanks for the feed back, I really appreciate it! Your absolutely right about flying over the tree lines, Ive noticed I get a little too excited when I maiden a new plane and totally forget to even talk lol. Also what size rubber wheels you think would do the job? 5IN wheel? I think if i go any bigger id have to go with big foam wheels, ''thinking about the weight''.
Great idea man! I'll be honest, I had flaps on my timber night X and I completely destroyed the poor plane lol. I guess thats what has me feeling discouraged! definitely willing to give it a try with one of these foam bushwackers. May I ask, if I set the flaps on will I need elevator mix as well? If so how can I calculate the percentage of down mix that will need. Do I match it with the flaps just up elevator ? Really lost on the flaperons lol ! Thanks @fraggsta
@@crossgenrc3235 I think it was this video I used to set it up th-cam.com/video/HmnqSmo3X5Q/w-d-xo.html Setting it up will be a bit different for everyone, since you'll probably have your aileron servos on a different channel. I didn't set any elevator mix with mine, and I don't think it would help. They really transformed landings with the Simple Stick for me, since I can finally get the plane to fly slowly.
Love seeing you building and flying again. What battery are you running and do you have flaperons mixed in? Did you ever get around to shipping the nano flerken?
@@crossgenrc3235 You should be getting paid if the are putting adds in your vids I would think. I love to fly low and slow with my homemade UMX Timber X.
@@EJ-74 Your right i thought so too lol, maybe its accumulating because its still requiring me to get 1000 subs first ! And me too! I wants to try a 4s next, that might give me enough power to fly at night more confidently!
That dirty plane flies good! You got skills flying in that much wind.
Thanks Neil! Definitely still a little rocky lol!
The airplane looks really good built and flyes amaizing ,you really did a good job flying it ,nice video 👍👍
Thanks for visiting, glad you enjoyed it brother !

@@fraggsta Thanks!!
Awesome looking plane!
Thanks a lot!
Nice job! The Bushwacker is on my list to build too.
very good plane !
Can you suggest some FT models which are suitable for coroplast/sunpack sheet?Foam board is not easily available here.
Try some foam wheels on it for those not so perfect landings.
Definitely planning on ordering a pair after seeing this lol !

Thanks crash!! and i used a 1300mah two! one for weight!, also this weekend ill be sending it out I had to purchase a new box for shipping!
Forgot to mention, i currently dont have flaperons on yet, but iam learning on what percent to set it, thats the only thing im lost in!

Thanks !
How do you have adds in your vids with out being monitored 🤔 Just wondering. That thing flys nice 👌 I build foam board planes also. 👍🏻✌🏻
Honestly have no clue, i just know they started after the channel reached about 10k views or so. And thanks wanted to make this a nice slow flyer !
