    FYI (at 27:15), for those using ACF Pro instead of Metabox, the "Exclude From Search" option is at the bottom of "Edit Post Type > Visibility" and "Publicly Queryable" is at the bottom of "Edit Post Type > URLs"

    Last night I started watching this walkthrough and I just couldn't stop. This was something I had to watch all at once. Very relevant and fascinating material, Kevin. The stuffs you provide to your subscribers and viewers are fantastic, and I genuinely appreciate your efforts in doing so. Just one thing: I see you tweak the Automatic.CSS settings quite a bit. Given that you are the plugin's respected developer, why not include a "Set Optimal Settings" button that, when clicked by the user, applies all the "startup" parameters you customized? Afterwards, at the user's convenience, modifications can be made. That seems like a good opportunity to save some time IMHO. Thank you so much again.

    Ha! So many shared behaviours. Hierarchy of browser tab position, removing the annoying WordPress screen options on setup, naming conventions. It's these very minute details that shine a light on the mindset for the detail, methodology, efficiency and care that goes into everything to deliver a clean product. That's why ACCS and Frames is the right fit, because I know the invisible steps taken to build a product are 100% inline with my own process and behaviours.

    As a freelance SEO specialist I'm glad you highlight the importance of a SOP. I've had several clients missing organic results because of the lack of it. (Or even worse: experiencing a huge drop in organic traffic after a website migration. But that's another story.) Sometimes it's simply a result of unintentionally no indexing. That's definitely not necessary. So thank you for educating people in here 🙂

    Yup, another level. "Pay attention to who you pay attention to". I'm newer to Wordpress, however after spending hours on other channels, this guy actually proves the WHY behind best practices vs how many other teach, and the difference is just obvious even to someone like me.
    Newbie Question though: When you set up a Team Members custom post type, I can only assume that would be specifically for team members who don't need front end or dashboard access to the site as opposed to setting them up under the WP built in Users (maybe as a subscriber) or using a role manager plugin to modify the built-in WP roles? Could you set them up under users and just not give them access to dashboard, or is the dynamic functionality only available when you start to use a CPT?

    • @Gearyco
      @Gearyco  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Really good question. I would only use the users role when the person needs actual user functionality. If they don’t, then the person is just reduced to being a piece of content in a database, at which point you use CPT.
      And keep in mind that many builders can’t query users natively. Bricks can, but many/most can’t.

      No, I decided not to. Oxygen does not have a bright future. It’s not worth doing the work.

    Nice! I was happy to see that my blueprint matched yours about 90%. I don't add default users, even though one day I hope I'll need to do that, and I do upload woff and woff2 fonts too. Is it unnecessary?

    Kevin you rock my friend. Great video as usual. Do you prefer NGINX or Openlitespeed server to host your websites? If Open Litespeed woud you use Perfmatters and LS Chache together? or would you go LS Cache only?

      Nginx for sure

    Amazing Video Kevin. Thank you for taking the time to post this. I have just purchased ACSS & Frames. May I ask why you set up the Policy pages as CPT rather than just standard pages?
