pies with those two draws and late losses is what has cost us a finals spot this year, plus injuries weren't great. But looking forward to watching the finals as a neutral this year.
Yeah, also a Pies fan and really looking forward to the finals even without Collingwood in it. Last year was almost perfect - just those Port games were duds. Fingers crossed for more excellent games and another beauty GF.
For Collingwood to make the 8 they need out of the four teams Pts. % Bulldogs: 52 123.8 Hawthorn: 52 111.8 Carlton: 52 110.7 Fremantle: 50 113.7 ---------------- Collingwood: 48 pts. 100.1% You can cross off the Bulldogs as even if they loose they would need to be smashed by over 100 pts. That leaves three teams They would need two out of the three teams to loose and out of Carlton and Hawthorn one of those teams needs to get smashed On top of this Collingwood has to smash Melbourne. So the likelihood Collingwood make it is extremely slim. Too much has to go right for it to work. Even if they get a massive win they are asking for two other teams to looses with one of them being a smashing against Hawthorn or Carlton. These teams all have a lot on the line and I don’t think they would just let the other team walk all over them without a fight.
The reality is that in practical terms it's impossible for the Pies to play finals. That loss last weekend against Sydney - a game they should have won, has cost them dearly.
@@Tim_Bo_ Good point Tim but don't get me going on umpiring. We saw Malcolm Nichols' effort in the Dockers game as well and how can we ever forget how the clowns destroyed Adelaide last year? The first thing they can do is to get rid of four umpires and revert back to two competent umpires.

The Bulldogs have done it in 2016 and got to GF again in 2021 so they get that benefit of the doubt meanwhile Brisbane haven't so that's why but I back us to do so as a fan this season is as open as ever and things turnaround very very quickly

@lightninglev6626 While not technically impossible the chances of the Cats losing on their home deck to the eagles is almost zero. And for the Blues to jump the Hawks on percentage they’d need to beat St.Kilda by MORE than the Hawks will beat the Kangaroos. Which again odds are incredibly low on that front as well.
