Seeing the early parts of one piece with these graphics really makes me excited for the wit anime remake but it also makes me want them to make a high quality one piece games for ps5/xbox and pc for once 😭😭😭
They could just make a third person MOBA and it would be the greatest anime game of all time. Game could live on through micro transactions being skins but it’s NEVER happening. They haven’t even taken a step in the right direction or really taken a step in any direction to make a great console anime game.
Crazy how a mobile anime game puts more work on animation compared to most console anime games like JJK, Jump Force, One punch man, My Hero, etc. Only exception is FighterZ, Kakarot, Sparking Zero, Naruto Storms and even Kill la Kill, but wish we had more of that for other anime tho.
Saw an article talking about this game like it was going to be the One Piece Fighterz and was hyped as hell until I actually looked at it and realized it was just a high quality retelling of the story combined with low quality gameplay and a gacha system to steal your money.

I don’t think it’s “we don’t have the technology for these games for console/PC” it’s the gacha mentality. They will sell you movie animations for an SSR Gear 6 Luffy over dlc for a 60$ game. That’s gaming now…gone are the PS2 days where an anime game came out every few months. We all miss that, but Japan is moving on. So expect your Bleach games or your Kaiju No 8 games to be on your phones. They tested it with Cursed Clash and now we won’t get good anime games on console 🫤 Sparking Zero is our last chance…gas THAT game up, break records etc and maybe those PS2 days might come back. Sales tell a lot to a company if they should have the motivation to keep going. If SZ ties in with Daima’s premier this fall, everything should go well
There needs to be a one piece game like aot 2 You play as your own customizable character but implemented into the actual story But implemented in a way that doesn’t go against how the actual story of the anime plays out And you go through different missions along with the strawhats as a way to progress in the game Essentially everything that aot 2 has but with one piece
Mingo studio in Naruto Mobile Game is another great example of how good 3D Anime Animation can be. Love the affort those animation studios take to make it look this good.
