  • Have you ever wondered what life is like as a professional hockey player in Europe? Dominic Cormier was a top defencemen in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League. After sometime in University and an introduction to pro hockey through the East Coast League. He’s now a top line d-man in Norway’s best league. For the next four days will be living with Dom to give you an exclusive inside look at his life. And when I mean exclusive, I mean it. I’ll legit be sleeping on his coach like right here!

I never really comment but I had to on this one, I'm so glad this popped up in my reccommended. As a guy from Fredrikstad who's gotten into hockey at a later age its quite amazing to see the behind the scenes, how this amazing city is like for visitors etc. Even seeing some old classmates in the dressing room as pro hockey players, quite mind boggling. Thank you!

Do they still have the nuclear bomb shelter cave in the center of town? I.m from the US and played there in the late 1970's. They had us stay in the cave /bomb shelter, which actually was pretty nice. It even had an indoor swimming pool. One night, we got locked in, as it had a large vault door. Military had to rescue us.

Fun fact: Urge was introduced as a test in Norway by the Coca Cola Company in 1996. It was a success here as a competitor to Mountain Dew. They lauched it in the US under the name Surge, but it never took off there, and was taken off the shelves in 2003.

Nice video! One thing I've been curious about is if pro players have their gear washed by the equipment staff to prevent it from getting funky. I'm sure a handful of guys would avoid it for the traditional hockey superstition, but I've always wondered if teams generally just wash the pads and gear to keep it from smelling like a dumpster fire.

Isn't he in the UK?? When I played in Europe we sometimes had to meet boosters in a big tent/building behind the arena after home games (Ger). The supporters would be in there having a beer or two and we'd come in and say hi. It was an obligation, but actually was usually pretty fun. There were also keg duties for certain members of the booster club/fans in the stands (for game time booze) - it was bizarre for us Canadians/Americans to see. Do they do that in Norway? You should post a vid if you have the footage. I think viewers would get a kick out of it if they do.
