@@CivilEnggLectures no way I was just started understanding the topic via your videos. Now I am stuck and I have exam in a week. I am unable to find the topic on internet
You mean plastic moment capacity? If yes, in this video plastic moment capacity is explained in general terms means does not depends on cross section, but depends on type of beam and loading conditions.... If you want a specific formula for cross section then you must know shape factors of the cross section.
Sir, Why EWD for point load is Wu × delta where EWD for udl is Wu × 1/2 × delta ×L ?? Is this becz of there is only point load-deformation so that point load × delta And when UDL then the whole area for the triangle Wu× 1/2 × base × height
Internal work is taken where the plastic hinges are formed, since only 2 plastic hinges are formed, thats why the internal work is taken for only these two and not the third one
yeah.. right.. but Madam when i am writing 'r' in Ds, it represent the support reactions.. and when i m writing no. of plastic hinges 'r' represent Statical Indeterminacy.. it is only the matter of same alphabets.. Madam..anyway thank you for highlighting it.
sorry sir for trouble you. actually i didn't understand a point. for example: DS= r-2 it is here. now my question why did you take 2 here ? could you explain plz 🙏🙏
If you take horizontal force then axial forces will be developed in the beam.. Axial force is not predominant force in beam.. BM and sf are predominant forces in the beam.. Hence most of the time axial force or axial deformation for beams are neglected. Hope I answered.
Great sir thanks for your tricks. Its helping alot
Better than other video lectures on this topic...
You help it in much simple way thank you sir
Thank you so much for this!
Prof. Nadaf....great explanation.....keep it up.....This would add to the students' knowledge n ultimately to the the productive outcome
Dada Patil thank you sir.
sir maza aa gaya. please keep it up.
EXCELLENT EXPLANATION HOPEFULLY TOMORROW I WILL GET A 90 FOR THIS CORSE 💯
thank you, very helpful, God bless you
prof.nadaf thank you we need more lecture for plastic design thanks
Thanks so useful on my learning of steel structure behavior
Nice sir👍🏻
Thank you
Great video sir.
Please make video on matrix method of analysis
.
Really knowledgeable....
Good job...
Upload for frame method . Sway mechanism in plastic analysis please
Very easy explaination keep this doing sir
Thank you
much better than my lecturers at Coventry
Thanks a lot
very nice sir..
Great explinaion thank you
very good explanation
Good job
Sir very nice and lucid explanation. Plz cover force and displacement methods too. Please sir.
Thank you
Thank you for appreciation. I have already made it. Go to list of videos in my channel.
@@CivilEnggLectures yes sir. I hv found them. Could submitted assignment just before deadline because of u. Thank u sir, thank u very much😊😊
You are most welcome 😊
Sir why you have neglected the axial force while calculating static indeterminacy?
Because there is no horizontal load on beam... No question of developing horizontal or axial reaction.
is there a video on Static method for plastic moment too?
This is the only video I have on plastic analysis.

Yes.
Sir, is for UDL Wu= 1.5 ×(W kn/m × L m)
= 1.5 × WL KN
Is it correct sir??
Why no horizontal reaction taken?
Beam is not designed for axial force... It is not predominant force for beam
thank you sir
Thank u sir, it helped me....
frame ka bhi plastic moment ki video dalo
Sir aap fixed support k liya bata rahe h aur simply k liye bhi aise hi hota h????
Simply support mein plastic hinge form hi nahi hota...
@@CivilEnggLectures sir dusra channel wala tha o padha rhaa tha
Simply support beam mein support pe plastic hinge form nahi hota... Ek hi plastic hinge form hota hai woh bhi jaha pe maximum BM hai..
Good
Plastic hinges occurs in zero shear
sir in case of propped cantilever why isn't the equation is ....(Mptheta1+Mp(theta1+theta2) + Mptheta2 ???
Internal work is taken where the plastic hinges are formed, since only 2 plastic hinges are formed, thats why the internal work is taken for only these two and not the third one

Nice
For Ds: r-2=2, but then for number of plastic hinges: r+1=3, what's going on?
Yeah.. plastic hinges are 3..
But I did not get your question
First you say that "r" is Ds, then you say Ds equals r-2... and r seems to be inconsistent: r - 2 = 2, but then r + 1 = 3.
yeah.. right.. but Madam when i am writing 'r' in Ds, it represent the support reactions..
and when i m writing no. of plastic hinges 'r' represent Statical Indeterminacy..
it is only the matter of same alphabets.. Madam..anyway thank you for highlighting it.

In analysis of Beam, Axial deformations are neglected... So when there is no axial deformation, axial force will also not be taken.
@@CivilEnggLectures thank you sir highly appreciate 🤝
Tqsm sir
Why we neglect horizontal force
Because in beam, horizontal force is not applied. No horizontal force no horizontal reaction.

Sir, can plastic hing form in a cantilever beam ?
Yes
i love u brother.
what is the eq for the macimum BM?
Please specify Questions
Plz do some questions
Okay
How to calc plastic moment in propped cantilever beam
It has been explained in this Video..Calculation of plastic moment for a Propped cantilever subjected to udl.
Sir what if a point load and udl act simultaneously
Bending moment diagram will be drawn.. at a point of maximum positive and negative bending moment plastic hinges are formed
Most probably it can be done by using statical method.. in video kinematics method is used.
where is add’l delta 2 in example 3?: iwd=ewd
I did not get your question..
if one end fixed and other end hinged
how to calculate plastic moment capacity
Already covered in this video..
pls put subs, everyone wanted to understand. thank you
Example bhi post kijiye please
