Listened to this just to see if there is an English conversation out there in which only the conjunctions make sense. Found it. Sounded professional though!
Just got your book today. So far so good. I'm hoping to get the rest of the family to read it, because I have become a bit exhausted trying to debunk all of the crap they find online.
I saw the Ritter reaction tag and came in to make the John Ritter joke. Everybody beat me to it. John seemed like a nice person who left us too soon. As for the chemistry, nice explanation as usual. I have been a chemical engineer for decades. I remember doing a lot of O-chem in college and quite frankly am glad I don't have to deal with it anymore. I still relisten to your flat earth responses every once in a while. They were masterpieces in their simplicity. Of course, I suspect they are not under good and rejected by the moronic conspiracy theorists.
Thanks for this, almost time to begin Organic Chemistry II! I got an A in the first part somehow!!! I don't know how! But your videos help thanks so much 8]
I know you have a chemistry background, but your vast knowledge in other fields as well is incredibly impressive. How do you accomplish this? Rather than unwinding with some mindless youtube surfing or netflix, do you unwind by researching/learning? You must be doing research 24/7! Also thank you! Your videos really helped me with ochem. I aced ochem 1 and now I just got accepted into an ochem research lab despite being severely underqualified, so thank you for the help! I hope to be even a fraction as knowledgeable as you are someday.
For fields I know nothing about I hire writers. Check the descriptions, if someone else wrote it they are credited, if no one is credited I wrote it. But ochem is my bread and butter so I can handle that stuff!
Sometimes teachers just run the lesson plan and hope for the best. My high school science teacher was a pretty smart guy compared to adult me, but I ended up explaining Venn Diagrams to him during class because the awkward wording of the textbook was throwing him off. And he was only 7 years out of high school himself at that point, so his school must not have covered it..... Or maybe he felt bad for me because I was getting 90s in all of his classes and my classmates all thought that I was very r-word. Hard to say. 😅
I've never watched Three's Company, I get that "This content contains mature themes" warning and I turn it right off! Even the news doesn't have that warning. 😨
7 years still he hasn't changed his Intro!
Do really love it.

Now you know how the “Three’s Company” main character’s actor was chosen.
Alcohol - - > Anime
Thats what I read at first lol
Same. Now I am deeply disappointed.
Hahaha

Understood, I meant. Not under good.

I swear to god I read amine as anime at first
wow, awesome video, thanks so much
I was hoping this would explain how to get a Somers. 😉
Love this
I wish you would put all the named reaction videos in their own playlist.
But they utilize ochem principles so I think they fit best in the ochem playlist.
@@ProfessorDaveExplains shame there are not sub-menu playlists, a playlist within a playlist.
Thanks for it!!!
I know a polymer chem professor by the name ritter, was secretly hoping this name reaction was his...
lol John Ritter reference
True
On the thumbnail i read "alcohol ----> anime"
In (5:10), when the amide group is hydrolyzed, the result shoud be NH2 and carboxylic acid group, how come the result is NH2 and OH?
did you use the gd demon face in part 4 of destroying flat earth twice lol
I've always heard it as "chloronium", not chlorinium. Analogous to iodonium.
Daaaaaave, why can I only the 'rest' of the moon when it's NOT a new moon? I don't understand it :(
👍
😊👍
i dont understand a single thing of this, but still a good video

The earth is flat
