- This is my first and only, that I can recall, Arab eviction. Now, if you are facing eviction, you need to pay, make arrangements to pay, or get on down! Do not just sit there like a lump on a log waiting for me to show up. 99% of the time it is too late to stop it once I get there, and I didn't get no notice is not going to work.

Everyone does not work days. I worked third shift for many years so I slept during the day. My husband worked a swing shift too. So things aren't always as they seem.
So everyone in his videos are working nights? I think not! A little bit of common sense goes a long way.
@@c.c.2508 I never said everyone but in my county it's more common. Some people are deadbeats who get evicted but many are not. Especially these days with these escalating rents and low wages. If you are financially stable you are truly blessed. However, one illness and/or job loss could change that. According to statistics, most Americans have less than $1,000 in savings despite income. 1 thing I've learned 38 years on this green earth is that communication is very important if you fall behind on payments with anything. Alot of times things can be worked out, but if you don't communicate and think that you can just live free you will dig your own grave no pun intended

That renter doesn’t understand how bad an eviction on his record is for his ability to get a new apartment. So go without anything - but pay your rent first before anything and pay it on time! The roof over your head is #1. EVERYTHING else comes after that.

I like the way Tennessee does evicitons. In most states, the landlord has to store the tenants belongings for 30-90 days, or leave them in the property for 30 days and the tenant make an appointment to come get it. That just costs the landlord, who has already lost a ton of money going through the process, more money. Tennessee does it right - the day they show up - you're done.
A lot of folks don't realize these homes are often some elderly couples retirement money so they count on that monthly rent, or, it's a younger couple paying the mortgage on their place and the rental to use for retirement when they get older - they are often not the rich people that everyone expects them to be.
Like I posted in other places. Go down to your local housing court. You will probably see booku amount of pamphlets detailed renter's/tenant's rights. You will be hard pressed to find one on landlord's rights.
if youre in a position where a eviction is underway, it means you have either not paid your rent, or broken your lease, or been a nuisance. rushing to pay the rent while the eviction has started is a sure fire way to find out the landlord may just want to be done with you. after all, youve made him go to court & jump through all the hoops to get the eviction. they may just deny the payment to be rid of you, for making their life harder.
Why is he getting evicted, because he didn't pay, what the hell! I will never understand why people know they are in jeopardy to be evicted but do nothing, don't pack, get a truck, rent a storage space, nothing!!!! They just sit back and wait comfortably for everything to be sat out.
Usually, if a person is too unorganized to pay their rent, that same mindset carries over onto other things like getting prepared to get evicted. I wouldn't be surprised if they never read their mail or posted notices to even know what's going on in their life. When they say, "I didn't know I was being evicted," it's true because they were disconnected from understanding that you have to handle your business in order to maintain a good quality of life.

As a landlord, I will say that most often, the tenant has cleared out before we show up with the Sherriff to physically take the property back - usually leaving a sad collection of property, trash, and dirt behind them.

People saying some people work nights. Whether you work days or nights you got to pay rent and you have to pay it on time! If they were all working in that place they wouldn't be evicted. Many people feel they're owed something. You're not owed anything. You have to pay or move out. Even the Bible says if you don't work, don't expect to eat or have a home.
You are so kind. I’d would have to stonewall the world “not my job, I work for the courts and do my job, the only problem I’d have is if I didn’t do MY job and carry on” rinse and repeat. I talk a good game but I couldn’t do it because I’d be the dummy falling for every sob story and excuse that are out and out lies, like feeding a stray next thing you know they begging again and again or helping someone in need who bites the hand that helps… as the story goes no good deed goes unpunished.

Years ago a realtor in Memphis told me she has seen several home buyers move into nice homes they just bought and never paid one months mortgage. They were foreclosed.
I can back up what the Realtor told you. I was on the other end as the auctioneer who held the foreclosure auctions on courthouses' steps. I'll never try to discourage someone from owning their home, but homeownership is more of a mentality than a physical possession. The majority of people who buy a house will end up in foreclosure. Cash buyers and those who pay off their homes in full are the minority by far.

So the guy being evicted told his boss that he already paid, when just a minute earlier, he was on the phone saying he was going over to pay, and to wait. Did he think his boss would wave a magic wand and make the eviction just go away? The guy has a job. How come he didn't just pay his rent?

I'm not making an excuse for people in houses, but I can't see how you don't know the eviction is coming in an apartment. There's only one way in, so you have to see the notices.....I mean I could argue that in a house, the person could say that they "always use the side door", but in an apartment, the notice is literally right there in your face, on the door. Maybe I'm wrong, and they do it differently here, I don't know, but I have to assume that they left notices on the door, and they just chucked them.

When I was 18 I shared a 4 bedroom home and 1 granny flat . Well I got the flat out the back . I paid my rent every 2 weeks on time . The dude didn't give me a receipt ever . So after chatting to me older mates , they gave me this huge monster video camera , now I was 18 in 1988 . So what I did was hit record on the vhs tape player , have it set up in the kitchen , have this mate o mine, come in sit down at the kitchen table , offer and have coffee , then give him my rent money. So it was all caught on video tape . Well 5 months later the Landlord came around and told us were had 3 days to get OUT ! EVICTION DAY came I was still in the granny flat , and I hadn't packed up to move . The Landlord came into my place using his spare key , and yelled at me get the f--k out now . I said I played my rent every 2 weeks on time , but the Landlord never got one cent . I sat the land lord down in my lounge with a coffee , and showed him the video tape . He apologised to me said your cool. As I had proof of paying , the others couldn't prove that they were paying their rent and 4 out of 5 got evicted by the cops . Always get proof of paying your RENT .
Something similar happened to us. The apt building was run by a scummy manager and his wife. He hated that we paid by check. He told us to pay by cash. We said NO. Sure enough, he left in the middle of the night with all the cash one month. The owner told everyone who paid by cash that he HAD NO PROOF and made all of them pay the rent AGAIN. We were safe as we had the canceled check.

I find it hard to have compassion for these ones that don’t have kids, they are just thinking that a landlord puts grown people up for free?? When kids are involved it’s more sad to me but still not an excuse to not pay rent.

File for an eviction and the next day they are out this stuff takes months sometimes even up to a year
My LL charges $25/day late fee..if you break yr lease you buy out remainder AND $1000 I was 7 days late ,1st time ever,and he was upset. I told him a family member was needing an intervention due to mental and physical problems. And had the money. I didn't get charged late fee.
If you don’t pay…they take it away! Quite simple.
This is the sad reality of life. It's going to be extremely hard for these evicted tenants to qualify for another apartment.
