Great find, Dave! It's item's like this that make one appreciate the ingenuity of those who actually lived the outdoor life in times past. Thanks for sharing.
I'm guessing most people don't know that LL Bean used to sell amazing and unique gear. Nowadays and for many years now they've sold nothing but fashion clothing for those who want to PRETEND to be outdoorsy.
Thank you Dave for your video here. I never heard of a folding sled like that, it's a great piece! ...Hey Man, the old wool bufflo plaid and the good ole 12 gauge hammer gun, can't beat that combo!
I have those same gloves but i had to cut the fingers off because the holes got to bad to keep sewing 😂 super warm and still great even without fingers!
Jealous of that beautiful snow. We got alot of ice in that last system but it wasnt near as bad as everyone was making it out to be 😂 that thing looks awesome!
DAVE, that sled is very kool and darn clever of you to haul some Firewood along on your trek. It would be very informative to hear how you tie that diamond hitch.
The LLBean slead reminds me of the pack sled that W.Ben Hunt drew out in one of his books. It was a sled that also served a a pack frame. That was a green wood project i do belive. Would tie in very well with your wood working / vintage vids.
Nice, never seen one gonna put on barn radar. Remember pulling up to the front door and walking up the rickety wooden stairs into Beans as a little kid. Parents would shop for Christmas and we'd sleep in the display tents on the floor. Lived 50 miles north and seeing downtown Freeport windows all papered over with only Beans up and running, like that for years. Now, for 35 years, it is a tourist sh*thole. Did see some empty retail spaces last drive through in October.
