I agree with the OP. Feeding should be every day. Coco Loco is basically soil. Unamended Coco Coir will require about 3 times the water of Coco Loco. Coco Loco requires about 6.3-6.5 pH whereas as Coco Coir requires about 5.8.

I used to grow in soil and watered when the pot was light it was easy I had good results but when I switch to Coco I ordered twice a day and the results I couldn't believe was night and day explosive growth water to run off I'm using flora flex in two weeks my roots was coming out of the cups in soil it took me almost a month to cease a little bit of roots come out the cup bottom of the cup Big difference problem is it's more time consuming I have to empty my trays all the time they're always full of water when I'm feeding them That's the only problem but I'm going to set up a system that catches all the water runs into a bucket that way I just empty the bucket Coco's the way to go for me
I did super soils similar to Mr. Canucks for a few grows. You only need to feed once. The initial mix should carry you through veg, then you up-pot for flower. That will carry you another 30 days. Around week 3 of flower you finally feed (top dress). It works out perfectly for 8-9 week strains because you run out of nutrition around week 7.
That's great and all but it's cultivar dependent I've had some cultivars that eat like crazy and then some that don't eat it all hardly. Nothing's ever cut and dry when it comes to growing.
Just remember when growing in Coco not to let the plants dry out and elevate the pots because you don’t want it to suck the runoff back up or your salts and your ppm will get really high

I've used a bunch of different brands of Coco but none of it was as good as Tupur, so I just use that only now and don't try other brands because I just don't get the same results in other brands. It stays hydrated longer than the other brands I used and it was way cleaner coco too. 💯🖖👽
I'm about to try the royal gold tupur in 2 gallon fabric pots. You say it stays hydrated longer? Do you still have to water once a day or what's your time frame between watering?

I grow in 5 gallon pots with coco , I have timed feedings giving half a gallon once a dayat the start of veg and in late flower give 3 x half a gallon feeds always with liquid notes and get great results. I keep check of my run off EC and aim to keep it similar to input EC

If you are using dry amendments for your feeding after a month in ocean forest you can just use water, but you still need to check you ph and dechlorinate your water for 12-24hrs before use with an air pump and air stones. I am a no till living soil and I use water only till I get to flower and all I can use are compost tea and water.
I was doing really good look like gts in week 3 of veg but I over watered one time and over fed finally checking the runoff at week 5 it was 1100 so I should have been checking run off at week 1 or 2 but also fish fertilizer and cal mag should be the only thing I use in veg next grow I burnt up mine with too many nuts and supplement keep it simple and you'll have better outcome
@@bartman7181 every time I feed I give them teaspoon or two of fish I gave them 2 gallons and a half mixed with a tea spoon of golden tree and flower stacker and a teaspoon of fish fertilizer I'll water in 3 more days just spring water from Walmart it's 1 dollar pH is perfect then wait a week and feed them again I feed every other water and fish fertilizer will help your plant thrive in bad conditions mine is on its fist 4 days in flower and I recommend 3 months indoor then move outdoor in shade and I have them in a 3 gallon pot with a bunch of holes make sure your running off water start from cup to half a gallon pot then transplant to a gallon in move to 2 gallon then before you start to flower move to 3 gallon better that way
If you want some really good quality bud it's the combination of everything that will help don't do nothing half ass if you want to be a good grower this is my second time and I've learned quite a bit don't give up on growing keep learning it will get easier

my tap water is 8.6pH and about up to 370 ppm, usually ~365 ppm. I already spent loads getting my setup, don't see myself getting RO (Reverse Osmosis) system anytime soon - not this year at least. any suggestions?

Similar to my tap water. This current grow I use two 5gal bucket that are aerated with aquarium pump and bubbler stones. I alternate which I draw from that way each bucket gets about 24hrs of bubbles. Water drops to about 7.3pH. I use Jacks 321 and it is buffered so water/feed finishes pretty consistently at 6.4. If waste drops to 5.5 then it’s time to flush down to flush waste EC equal to bubbled EC. Even though I have a 2x4 tent with 1-2 plants it’s Much less stressful than making my own distilled water

This was a very good video but you didn’t get into that coco will hold your nutrients for 4-6 months and leach the nutrients out slower then normal and is one of the reasons it is used in n super soil’s and living soil. Now down to feeding depending on your plants and how you amend your soil or the company that made your soil and amended it. So ocean forest one of the good compost soils out and with that soil even with liquid nutrients should be done once a month to keep salt levels down in your soil and you won’t get nutrient lock out. Now a living soil I am trying out and it is sohum soil and in the beginning I thought it was garbage till my plants took off, now mind you this is not a compost it is a living soil so no feeding till flower and you use compost tea’s. Your plants will only take up so much per day no matter what size it is and transplanting will definitely help you on feeding the s you are using liquid nutrient with dry you need to feed way less and with a super soil to me is the easiest way to grow nothing but water till flower .

I grow 5 gal coco smart pots. I feed 1 or 1.5g of water/nutrients once 2 hours after light comes on and then again 8 hours later with water/Calmag

Sohum is the BEST soil out there, in my opinion! You never have to feed it. You just water it. That's it the entire grow.

you can buy distilled water at the grocery store pretty cheap. other than that, that tap water ppm is to high to use

Try a Zero Water Filter. It will give you 0 ppm and lowers ph by removing ALL elements.

Depends on the size of the plant, yhe bigger the plant the higher the ppm, but 500-600 is a great starting point

Now a living soil I am trying out and it is sohum soil and in the beginning I thought it was garbage till my plants took off, now mind you this is not a compost it is a living soil so no feeding till flower and you use compost tea’s. Your plants will only take up so much per day no matter what size it is and transplanting will definitely help you on feeding the s you are using liquid nutrient with dry you need to feed way less and with a super soil to me is the easiest way to grow nothing but water till flower .
