I was pleasantly surprised to find someone using the same pronunciation scheme with which I studied Hebrew half a century ago at a Lutheran college. I bless His Holy Name for my having stumbled across your channel.

Memorizing and meditating on and in the scriptures is so important for a real and lasting change of mind and attitude it's unfortunate that we have be mislead into believing that all we have to do is just read a verse here and there. But the importance of investing time, energy and metal effort cannot be overlooked or understated.

    excellent, excellent, excellent !!!
2 points of difficulty for me
    1. The pronunciation of Daweed instead of Daveed
    2. The use of Adonai when the text clearly writes Yahuveh, or, as i prefer, simply Yahveh (ie. why follow the rabbis and not follow Elohim?)

I appreciate your feedback and kind words. My earliest influences with respect to pronunciation came from the Yemenite persuasion. I also grew up with Palestinian Arabs so a waw over vav is pretty much locked in for me personally. I do try to mix it up on occasion so as to reach those who differ.
As far as the Name, I know that there is a plethora of views on this by so many people. I tend to defer to Adonai not so much to align with the Rabbis but not to come across as dogmatic. It's neutral for me. The Name has been cantillated Yehowah or Yehovah in numerous writings including some of the oldest complete texts. I believe being cautiously objective can accommodate the needed space between overt rabbinic influence and the "newer kids on the block" without disparaging either.

      Hi Glen(?)
      Thank you for responding-much appreciated.
I did not realise that *waw* was still in use today! I was under erroneous impression that its use faded away as paleo-Hebrew evolved into 'modern' Hebrew, more like what we see today. Regrettably i have never been to "the holy land". Soon though, i will return there with my Lord!!!
Regarding Yehovah-be true to the Word above *all* else. In Christianity; Yehoshua is the Word, the Logos-The Way, The Truth and The Life. No opinion supercedes The Word of The Name above all names.

ADONAI has lead me to this channel. I love calling my LORD ADONAI. The LORD appeared to me in a dream. ELOHIM. Beautiful.
