    Thanks for all the videos ! Any chance you could do one just illustrating flying circuits around an airport / doing touch and go’s ? My local airport LSGG :)

      Excellent idea about a video for circuits, touch and gos, etc. That would be my study material and practice for weeks😊
      Like the one 737NG Driver did for the PMDG 737... so cool.

    I was somewhat shocked when I realized that you weren't disconnecting the autothrottles! I never heard of such a thing, lol! I was trying to disconnect them and the ATS (which is a very different system from any airplane I ever flew).
    A minor but tedious point: do I really have to dial down from thousands of feet to the ground in increments of 100 feet? And there appears to be no click and hold to make this go any quicker? I know guys in the real airplane are not adjusting so slowly?

    Rob, just curious, why no N2 on the first attempt? The apu was running and 10th stage seemed ok?

    • @foxtrotalphaaviation
      @foxtrotalphaaviation  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi, I had completed a number of test flights before this flight. I simulated a V1 cut, the N2 rotor was seized. I reset the simulator failures, and then restarted. It was a silly mistake on my behalf. Thanks for noticing. I will make a video on engine starting problems including no light off, hot start, hung start..

      @@foxtrotalphaaviation I have to say I was expecting to see an engine fail after V2 on this video given to the length at which you discussed it ! ;-)

    Hi Rob great video, thanks. Question: What is MCT on the Perf page?

    • @foxtrotalphaaviation
      @foxtrotalphaaviation  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Maximum continuous thrust (MCT), this would be used after an engine failure to achieve the most amount of thrust on a single engine continuously, without a time limitation. MCT is normally set after QRC checklist items are completed.

    Hi Rob, awesome video. Quick question: wouldn’t it be better to test flaps to full and then back to 20? On another note, having done just a few Flight Sim YT videos where I wanted everything just right (not with this account), having to make multiple takes and then all the editing it involves, I know just how much work you put into this. Again, thanks so much! You are the key to enjoying this amazing aircraft to the fullest.

    • @foxtrotalphaaviation
      @foxtrotalphaaviation  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      As a pilot we don’t generally test flaps, we set them to a specific setting i.e flaps 20 for takeoff. During the taxi checks, the PM asks flaps? The PF responds set flaps 20. After the checklist continues there’s a confirmation that the flaps are set properly. It’s a read and do item. Thank you for your comment about editing, yes it’s very challenging, it takes a long time. Making a video is probably 80% editing. I am just a novice at editing, trying to get better. Rob ‘H’. Thanks again

    Thank you so much for these vids they are great. Could you explain why the right engine didnt start the first time. Would be really helpful to understand why the situation occurred?

    • @foxtrotalphaaviation
      @foxtrotalphaaviation  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for noticing, I completed a number of test flights before this video and forgot to reset the scenario. The N2 rotor was seized. Definitely a major problem LOL. I reset the failures and restarted. Very silly mistake on my behalf. I will be creating a video very soon about engine failure problems, I will show hot start, hung start, no light off, etc. Thank you
