As a Costa Rican it is funny how she says that is amazing how a country allows you to just go and buy land. Well that is the problem, with a lot of people from other countries moving here, the locals are being kicked out of the land because of the high cost of living that this situation produce. Specially because you buy in dollars, not in our local coin. For you is a paradise, for locals is, having to relocate elsewhere. I hope one day, can be establish more regulations about buying land if you are from another country. Same thing is hapenning to Hawai. Not hate or anything, is good that you are happy here, but is sad as a Costa Rican to see how we are losing our own land.
Yeah and this why Hispanics and Latinos should have already created a Latin super power and kick these strangers in our land that’s why Asians don’t let strangers own or have anything in their land or home.
It’s called colonialism and ginfification meaning you kick out the native people of the land it’s sad that I’m Hawaiian and Polynesian people can’t own homes they’re ancestors lived because the white man stole it and put a price tag for them not to own
That’s why we should build a pac and say no strangers in our land the natives in America already deal with it and are punked sad if our ancestors were alive today they would be ashamed of us all not to push back to these strangers and colonizers.
As a Costa Rican I want to welcome you to our beautiful country. I hope things work out for you guys as you planned. In case anyone is interested, I own a beautiful property in the Turrialba Valley. The property is very affordable, it has beautiful views and great weather.

Costa Rica is amazingly diverse. Pacific, Caribbean and Interior are all very different. Pacific is by far most expensive; Caribbean least expensive. For example, if you don't want full "back-to-nature" homesteading, a Caribe development called Grand View Estates, near Siquirres, has lot prices ranging from $40K/ha and up, dependiing upon the view. Some resale lots might be cheaper. Grand View is a gated community with clubhouse with swimming pool as well as river with waterfall. Water and electicity on-site; internet available. HOA keeps roads and public areas in good shape. A nice mix of middle-class Ticos and Gringoes. Very active Neighbourhood Watch. Two hours to San Jose; 45 min to Caribbean beaches; 20 min to market town of Siquirres, which has a modern hospital if needed.

We really loved the warm and welcoming pura vida vibe and the cultural and societal emphasis on protecting and cherishing the natural world. Beautiful video, you guys! I just loved seeing how Costa Rica looks so lovely. I hope that you have a good time out there and practice speaking Spanish too because that's the official language. I'm not fluent in Spanish but I know Spanish phrases! Love you, stay safe out there!
Some time ago foreigners or as the locals call them gringos came to Costa Rica bought fincas then they splitted them out, segregated, raised up the prices in several times $$$ and started to make business. It resulted in the situation that locals cannot afford prices of the lots closer to the beach. And that's very pity and makes ticos feel angry. Although Costa Rica is a beautiful country with really nice people.
Just came across your channel, this is super informative! My partner and I just moved to Costa Rica and we're looking into buying land with the ultimate goal of starting an intentional community. Would love to know what area you guys are in. Thanks for your beautiful work!

Anyways… I’m happy you guys found what you were looking for.

Costa Rica is amazing! enjoy! Pura VIDA!
Pura Vida mae! 😄
Taking my family to Puntarenas Province, Costa Rica @ the end of this month. So blessed to have stumbled on your video. Looking @ land…maybe 😂
✌🏼💚
Thank you so much for this video!
Thanks for your social!! Haha I’m from the states and from here in Costa Rica. I wanna buy some land next my mothers property and I’m having a hard time getting ahold of the owner. It’s a real boots on the ground type deal just like you said. Thanks for the awesome video!!
I could have showed you guys some land where I live, and the only thing you have in front of you is the entire pacific coast. It’s a kinda hilly location, 40 Kms away from the ocean, and a few Kms away from a big city in the Occidente (west) side of Costa Rica. 40 Kms away from the SJO international Airport.
Anyways… I’m happy you guys found what you were looking for.
Sounds amazing Guillermo! Can you send us a message on our instagram so we can find out more? 💜🦋
Hey! I love this video. I had been looking for land in Panama and Mexico. My wife is Spanish so language wont be a problem for me. As im from the Carebbian i know that having good water supply is a must. I love beautiful rivers and springs

Thank you for your transperancy🙏🏿✨✨
Thank you for appreciating it! We're grateful for you! :)
Thanks for sharing your experience and I hope to be able to purchase land very soon.
That's way more money than I expected. I live in a nice area in the US and its $50,000/acre.
Hola amigos desde san Ramón de Alajuela Costa Rica, cuidesen mucho,Díos los proteja y bendiga.
How long are you able to stay in Costa Rica with your current visa? Do you need to travel somewhere else and enter the country again to be able to stay for a longer time?
Great video! your transparency makes your videos stand out and makes it feel like 'we are one' ;)
I’ll answer that here :) You get 90 days every time you come to Costa Rica and we usually do a trip to Nicaragua or a nearby country for a day or two to get another 90 days after.
Thank you for your comment! We are one for sure :D
Great question
@@mrjuliusmars so even though you bought land as a foreigner you still have to travel in and out of the country??
@@sarad2083 Yes, buying property doesn't give you automatic residency. If you purchase property over 150,000 USD you can apply for an investor visa that will allow you to stay.
@@sarad2083 That's why you have a baby in the country. The Baby gets Citizenship, and then so do the parents. Pretty Smart.
You guys are so adorable 🥰
He gets a sub he made me laugh 🤣😂. "Well share our social security number" lol
This totally opened up a new world. I’d be interested in learning about how much it’s going to cost to build up the land / build a cabin or home there. Plus the taxes

You guys are adorable! Thank you for making this video. My husband, our girls, and I were in CR a couple of months ago, and we saw some houses and land in a few areas, including Atenas that we would consider purchasing. We'll be back to find the one! Where is your land? Abrazos.

Wow, you change your channel name! Why? I love it so much and so peaceful out there!
We felt a calling to shift our channel from us to what we stand for and what we’d like to embody in the upcoming future! It sets the intention for our channel and videos :) What do ya think?
@@mrjuliusmars Splendid! If you want to have a home right there where you can learn and live there, that's amazing. Yeah, I do love your new name of your channel!
Be sure and tell people if they are not residents that they will have to leave the country every 90 days. I am a permanent resident and have lived here 12 years. You have a lot to learn.
Thanks for the tip Pat!
I enjoy watching your videos and congratulate you both on following your dreams. That's a decent price for one acre with good road, water, and electricity access. The elevation and breeze is a plus also. What is the closest town to your property?
I understand you wanting to keep your location private, but can you let us know the Province? Canton? District?
Exelent report bi hapy and enjoy you live
