I think it's worth it to hold on to whetstones until your weapon is already +3... The blacksmith can get you to +3 and then the whetstone can push it up to +4. (That is, if youre using a melee weapon... anything else, let it rip)
Reminds me of an old riddle from .hack//sign. The answer was egg, but it was a math puzzle involving flipping the number 993 upsidedown with the hint of reversing heaven and earth. You triggered a whole ass nostalgic memory lolol
I wish dice were easier to find and I wish it was either a starting thing or a guaranteed room spawn in the fire tree because dice are just soooo helpful especially trait choice reroll dice when your already invested in a niche
Just an FYI, there is a difference between "increased" damage and "more" damage. "Increased damage" is flat additive where "more damage" is multiplicative. Basically in most cases MORE over increased
Thats good to know. I often try not to assume the math of developers, because the difference between multiplicative and additive is not exactly obvious and the wording can be ambiguous in games. Esp one with this many tooltips. Knowing the keywords there helps!
@@AreimaYT if you ever feel like going down a math rabbit hole to learn more about it, this game has taken a heavy inspiration from path of exile, with traits, keywords, items all being taken from POE. And from what I've seen the damage scaling and interactions seem to be very similar. So if you know much about POE it helps a lot.
Next time you speak to the knight in the tavern equip at least a rare (yellow) weapon and speak to him, he gives you then the offered item. I think you had a rare weapon in your 2. Slot
A lot of the weapons in this game that do like "bleed or fire or poison" are just stupid strong. I got a run up to floor 8 with warrior and a fire damage flamberge build and I only died cause I got cocky
I cant help but feel like the Strength route is the weakest. You take a huge risk with the shorter range without any defense perks or better damage. Even the auras which make the most sense for a close range character are in the int perk side. You really have to combo the damage buffs and crushing/ruthless hits with crits to make it work.
I don't know if I'm doing something wrong then, because honestly I feel like every stat is weak by itself. In order to beat the last 2 bosses without feeling like i'm crumbling a wall with my bare hands you need crazy combos and synergies from talents no matter what attribute you focus. Although, I will say, from sheer fun scale Dex is my favorite. Attack speed and a lot of movespeed perks and the permanent Infusion perk are great.
@@AreimaYT INT gets pretty crazy with a few mana stars as each one buffs damage Not being in mana burn non-stop is also a nice buff. It also gets permanent potions which can take off really fast with alchemy chests. You just need 1 more win and a few new systems open up and make life easier.
@@Iced333In my experience INT >>>> STR = DEX. STR and DEX I feel like are just strong at different points in a run. With DEX you get early spikes with grenades, marks or attack speed steroids but strength builds tend to cap out kind of higher with bleeds that chunk bosses for half their hp at a time or huge single hit bonks. STR still needs some DEX support to scale attack speed but so does DEX need INT for crit and some of the passives. Meanwhile INT has so many ways to break everything it's not even close, like aura stacking, mana stars stacking, soul hearts stacking, lightning stuff, random cast on crit with some of the big scrolls to cheat them out 4 times per second and so many more.

True. I was excited for atkspeedlol
Between heaven and earth, this alone is the honoured rogue

Resins do stack, so it's not entirely a waste to get a second one of the same type.
Ohhh really? I did not know!
WOO .. uh.. flesh... WOO
WOO RED RIDING MAN WOO

Yep. 100% on this.

I have gotten a couple dozen characters to 50/60 in PoE. The scaling seems straight from dark souls, but I can see the PoE inspirations too.

Ahh. I assumed it was upgrade level.
