I got teared up. Really how can it be that the most Holy God would want me to join Him in Holiness, and makes holiness reachable. And I cry for those who still don't know God, and those who left the Church. God have mercy.

Holiness is the only way to complete fulfillment in life. Nothing else can come close to satisfying the deep longing you feel in your heart. As Saint Augustine famously said, “Our hearts are restless until they rest in You, oh Lord.”
Now this was an intelligent ,informative and dignified talk.
Im sick of "the church of the loose cannon" with lunatics masquerading as Ministers of God and making the Church a joke in the world.
This attitude and reverence restores respect due to God.

I am 81. A sinner. I pray am baptized. As much as I want to be holy but it looks like this will never be for people like me. I watch Mass on TV and make spiritual communions. I want to cry.
Don't Be Afraid God sent Jesus like a doctor to save you and he can't wait to save you. Walking to a church say a prayer and see a priest. That's all you have to do. I will pray for you

Maria, Mother Angelica on her tv shows on EWTN always said, "We are all called to be saints. Don't miss the opportunity." I was talking to our second graders in our First Holy Communion class today about growing in holiness and becoming saints. They were surprised. They didn't know that they could be saints. They thought they were too young, or not good enough. We are praying The Lord's Prayer, which Jesus gave us to pray to Our Heavenly Father for our needs. We're asking especially this week for help to grow in holiness. Jesus told us, "Ask and you will receive." We are praying for ourselves, our family, and friends. We will add your name if we may.
Even if u had been with God your whole life , you would probably still feel completely inadequate.

My understanding about Holiness it’s like playing a piano, the more you play it or spend time playing, the more better you become with it. The more we spend time with the Lord in Adoration, prayer and study…..the more we become connected and submerged into his Holiness.

What's amazing is that when the Holy Spirit is "upon" someone, you hear it just flowing from their lips. It isn't a thought process, there's no wrestling with words. Yes it's ineffable but in its flow-and that is supernatural poetry to our ears. How can we not rejoice?

I got it for myself for Christmas. I'm currently converting.
What a providential moment! I was in the midst of reading Ralph Martin's "The Fulfilment of All Desire". Accidentally came across this video clip with Ralph and Scott conversing on holiness. Now that I have actually seen who Ralph Martin is, reading the book becomes more meaningful. Thank you both.

Not long ago the Lord started put in my heart, in my soul, the meaning of the Father's love and how He created us for immortality. We hear this many times, but suddenly He gives us the grace of beginning to understand in our soul. Wow!!! Every time I meditate on this reality, I am in owe. Thank you Scott and Ralph for remind us and teach us, and exhort us to seek for this infinite love that keeps searching for us and is never tired to forgive us. I love you both. I thank God for both of you. What a wonderful teaching.
Listening to this loving fellowshipping between two godly & fatherly theologians while decorating my house for Christmas has been such a blessing to me especially because this will be my first Christmas without my earthly father. May he rest in the peace.

Professional Theologian, I like that. In the very beginning (and a cradle Catholic) coming in fresh I did not know who you all were, so I like that for both of you.
Very good talk. I think it would be good to explore for you both the Sacramental Seals of the Sacraments. The Seals seem to be forgotten in theology. They are a unique relationship to an aspect of the Trinity. By the Baptismal Seal there is a special relationship with the Son by becoming sons. The Seal of Confirmation is a special relationship with the mission of the Church and the Person of the Holy Spirit into which we are sealed. The Seal of Priesthood makes a man a priest thru Jesus, but are there 3 different seals? One for deacons, one for priests, and one for Bishops or are they all the same Seal but only unlocked by the consecration to its fullness when consecrated Bishops.
Please keep in your prayers Malta and us faithful Maltese genuinely in favour of human life. Specially prayers united with fasting, for we're in need of a miracle!

Quoting from CS Lewis essay, Fern-seed and Elephant: We, being men, know what we think and we find the doctrines of the Resurrection , the Ascension and the Second Coming inadequate to our thoughts. But supposing these things were the expression of God's thought?
My question is this. Not having studied Hegel or Kant, would it be helpful for the average Catholic not to dismiss their ideas?
