I've been following Mudita since they released the Pure Phone. Looking forward to the new Kompakt Phone for sure and hoping the price is less than $400, but I'm not holding my breath considering how (as you note) they price their other items. Feature-wise, my ideal minimal phone would have calling, text, music, directions, a camera, and MAYBE email. Nothing else. Oh, and e-ink for a display. Keep up the great content!
Thanks! Yes I am guessing it may hold a high price tag but fingers crossed they stay reasonable. Email would be useful. I am very curious what the final apps will be. The e-ink is a major plus since other devices like the Light Phone 3 are moving away from eink.
I love dual sim but as with the lightphone II and having been a developer and architect for big tech I just can't get over the fact this one is clearly AOSP. That's what I loved about the Mudita pure the customized linux. I simply can't feel at ease with anything android... or apple or MS or FB... etc. While it makes sense from a cost, support and hiring perspective to use android this just reminds me why I just keep on using my Xperia 10 with SailfishOS. I remove everything except phone, SMS and browser (For uber) and I have a feature phone on a custom privacy focused OS at $100 less than a LP2. Maybe someday Jolla/Sailfish OS will support an eInk device but for the time being thanks sony for your open device initiative.
The price I am willing to pay for the Mudita Kompakt is €350. It would be good to have the ability to install third-party applications such as banking applications, maps and even whatsapp on it
I agree with you for the price. I think 350 is ideal but I have a feeling they will go higher. Fingers crossed they give the option to install third-party apps but I won't be surprised if they don't.

I don't know what i am willing to pay. It depends of the features. But i hope i can use the signal messenger and f-droid store.
Yes the final list of features will be key. Hopefully the Kickstarter campaign will launch soon.
What's the point in such a product if I can simply get a bar-phone with same features for 50$?
Idiocy

@@LauraMalvoyante At the moment I am very happy with my device on DivestOS, it would be ideal if it had an e-ink display and a qwerty keyboard
