      I'm very interested in exploring Guest Experience job 😊

      @SavvyHotelier  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@laurami8874 That's great! In the hotel there are roles like that in the back office as well as front desk and concierge. They are the most important in delivering valuable experience to our guests, but above that, there are many more!
      On the corporate level of brands there are brand managers that create guest experience processes and the customer journey map, identifying pain points and fixing them. As well, creating branded programmes like meeting programmes and tools, private lounges etc. Those are very important and with project management experience and guest service experience you can do that!
      What do you think?

    • @laurami8874
      @laurami8874 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@SavvyHotelier Ofc, personally the thing I love the most about this industry is to create unforgettable experiences for the guests and dealing directly with them... 😁

      @@laurami8874 Yeah, that's what I started out with, but at least if one day you want to change, you know you have options!
      In addition tho, to give you an example, you could be a personal luxury travel planner (there are agencies that provide services) and really create those experiences for people too.

      I'm a finance manager and you can do finance. Finance is great as you are in charge of the hotel financial health and ensure profitability to the owners and steakhouses alike. You will be responsible for all aspects of expenses from payroll to food and bev cost and review and approve restaurant pricing to hotel room pricing. You liaised with all departments.

    I could use some advice.
    I've heard that it's possible for some hotels to allow you to stay in the hotel for 1 month and check out and then check back in if they have room and they will not charge you as much of your willing to work for them.
    Well, I've found myself in a rather unpleasant situation.
    And I do not have my GED. But I am taking GED classes. I'm an adult over 21 but my closest family I've known since birth is all passed away. And I need some temporary housing.
    So Id be willing to work in a hotel if they would allow me to stay there for a month or month at a time and take the money I'd owe them per night from the hours I work there. I'm desperate for the time being.
    So should I seek emoyment and temporary housing from a motel or hotel?
    And what job positions could I possibly do with no GED?
    I have experience in working in retail grocery store and western union and a consignment shop and fast food restaurant.
    I also have dome odd jobs like cleaning houses etc.
    So would they hire me for anything other than a waitress or cleaning lady?

    My first work after i graduated at school was a receptionsit and I’m still at this job for years. From day one until now. My responsibilities and tasks at work have not changed. And for that reason I’m trying so hard to learn english very well and I want to take a certificate in supply or a certificate in professional customer service or anything outside tue scope of the receptionist job. I didn’t go to the university and I don’t want to go there because I’m 25 right so i don’t have so much time to study. Please recommend to me some jobs and some certificates that I can take them in less than one year. Thanks 🙏🏻

      I think so, the most important skill you need is to be able to communicate and socialise with people. You will be doing that a lot so better enjoy it :) Your challenge will be to get that first experience, so start thinking how you can showcase yourself now

      Hi Suraj, that is one way you can do it exactly. You can try to apply directly for FO roles that are entry-level where they would be willing to train you on the system - as you already have the customer-facing experience. Make sure you empathise that on your application and show that you are willing to learn.
