I bet he’s a proud P'pa of his daughter, and her presence on the channel. He’s such a kind man, and she’s every bit the gem-buff as her father. This was a wonderful episode. Thanks you guys.
WOW, that large beryl with it's precision cuts looks like a key to an unpickable mythical vault lock that keeps safe the most amazing treasures known to man!
Its in india..the snake vault I believe..very cool..you would think think got into it by now...but then again if they did ,maybe Corona v..would not even match up to what is in store
I absolutely love the fantasy cuts. I hope that there are more of them shown and there are more gem cutters out there willing to really do something new and amazing with gems.
I'm seeing some sort of Nordic Viking spiritualism in The Cutting of that green Barrel!!! The Cutting of that is something that just reminds me of Stonehenge or something like that!!!! Like old old world Germatic people or something and in that piece of barrel??🤔😍
Every stone is beautiful, the sunstone and rutilated quartz’s unique cuts really show-off the attributes each stone had to offer. The lemon quartz is my favorite though that is a color i can look at and never get tired of, and the cut was really something else.
I am new to collecting gems, and I am learning everything that I can. I enjoy your videos and the JVT website had been invaluable to me. Fancy cuts are some of my favorite gems to collect. The Praisiolite and the Sun Stone were so gorgeous. Thank you for what you do and for feeding my new obsession with such terrific content.
Awesome magnificent stones to see such natural talent is such a gift love the excitement you and your dad have fantastic knowledge I bet he as some sweet history of buying some of these stones awesome awesome thank you
I got excited when I saw the lemon quartz, I hoped it was a large faceted chrysoberyl. That's why you never sight ID a gemstone. Beautiful stuff in the collection
This is my type of content ! Tsavorite is my birthstone and absolutely my favorite garnet. Rutiles are so beautiful too ! I have quite a few faceted unset gems. What they are and their story is so exciting and interesting to me.
Wow, those gems shown in this collection are so beautiful.😯🤩Knowing🤔 about them is very interesting and also the chart on how to cut them so elegant looking too.💖💎 My favorite of them is the sunstone☀️💎 because of the color that reminds me of fall.😊🧡🍁🍂 Nice video. Keep up the good work.
I see the Trapiche emerald and can't help but think of the rediculous "trapiche " counterfeit things on ebay. Olive green glass ground with 6 perfect sides and trapiched with black ink was one. Paint sprinkled with dirt is used as well. Alot are doublets with colored inner flats , which is the area glued together, so it looks like a generic gem of whatever color. With black magic marker for the black division lines of the mineral cluster.lol.
Must be a very intelligent man to be where he is now in life , intelligence isn’t everything. However it certainly helps lol . This makes me miss my old man a lot more then usual.
@@gems Wow, so creative and beautiful! I always admire clever uses of gems and minerals, but they canceled the gem and mineral show I was going to go to last April. I wanted to buy some yooperlite (I need to find out if it's aquarium-safe) and as many unusual beads as I can find.
Listen dad instead of saying people don't say maybe many people don't or not a lot of people do but just generalizing people like that just let the rest of us know that you believe in the high horse you're sitting on please don't be so arrogant I was like this close to buying jewelry from y'all!!!!!!!!!😔
And knowing that she was literally daddied into this job just made me lose all respect for your daughter as a gemologist!!!!!! I'm actually kind of pissed off now!!!!! The world is the way we all know and think it is full of b******* where the rich get richer and then the rest of us just die eventually!!!!!!!!!
Please don’t make assumptions simply based on someone’s family background. Rebecca has graduate gemologist certification from GIA. She also has her FGA from Gem-A where she won the prestigious Christie’s Prize awarded to the best diploma candidate of the year. None of that was given to her by her family but came from a lot of studying and taking some very difficult examinations. She appears on this channel in addition to her day job and we feel lucky to have her.
@@gems I'm certain she's independently qualified for her job!!!!! But if you say her getting those qualifications and a foot in the door wasn't made easier by her daddy then. you just don't live in reality . I can tell she's smart and passionate about her career but she didn't even have a foot in the door she had the door held open for her and good for her! But still makes me sad for regular people wanting to get into the industry.
“My daughter Rebecca”…. This makes so much sense, they have wonderful chemistry.

What a cool dad! See where you get your love from gemstones and also your awesome personality from! Two great ppl love this channel

Lovely beryl. It shows such artistry.

So glad you gave/give the name of the person who cut the stone.

🤣 The editor of this video has made my day. At 13:57 you can see that Mr. has on some nice nail polish for the close up shot 😂😂😂
You all have done it again what a father and daughter team way to go! Thank You
A fun episode with amazing gems. I especially like the Lemon Quartz and Prasiolite.
As someone who chose a Morganite, a beryl stone, for their lifelong commitment ring. Thank you
These specimens are absolutely stunning!

DAD??? He almost looks the same age! A gem of a man.
Creative vision with great precision
Lovely gems and totally inspiring. Time to get back to the wheel and create some ‘Opalisled Rutilataion matrix in a Sunstone’Faceted gems for myself.💎

Love this one!!!!❤❤❤❤❤
Tsavorite is my favourite!
Shocking that she is the daughter of the president of the jtv
2:39 Why is a "green beryl" not simply an "emerald"?
EDIT Oh, you answered later. No chromium.
Wow. Rebecca's really pretty. And I like her presentation style.

I see that the SUNSTONE is cut into a Candle flame.
Woooow so amazing i love you the way you explain and all gemo
High key idk how Rebecca keeps a straight face interviewing her dad lmao
Where is Natalie ????!
Not to be that weird guy...but according to her LinkedIn she left JTV about a month ago to work at the Gemological Institute of America.
Well is kinda sus cuz she didn’t even say good bye....
@@eljonguito2496 maybe they have a backlog of videos to get through first? I do hope it wasn’t a bad split.

Which GIA- Carlsbad?
Why did I think I was gonna be the actual president XD
Its an odd question, but how do you source those gemstone boxes? They seem really great.
We made them ourselves!
@@gems Are they purchasable?
Handsome and interesting man.
that beryl looks like a beer stopper mixed eith beer cooler

I like this HAPPY GIRL. 👧💋💄❤

Could someone have cut those designs into the beryl with the intention of setting smaller gems into the holes?
Theoretically, yes! You can see a technique similar to that if you look up Dalan Hargrave's Celestial City carvings.

Are there any gemstones which glow in the dark without being exposed to light or UV?
Not that I know of. Although, if they existed and were as common as quartz or granite, it would be cool to see the mountains glow all night.
@@Shock_Treatment That has to be in an old science fiction story somewhere
YAG its lab made but lumogarnet is your stone
