Hey there, Ubud gets rainy between October and March, but we have seen loads of rain in July also - you just never know. At the moment it's lovely and sunny. I think you can risk it solo, there are lots of private drivers around that can show you the island. Cost wise that really depends... But prices have certainly gone up here as well in the last three years, so it's not as cheap anymore as it perhaps used to be. If you like street food, you can eat for around $1-2 per meal easily. Best of luck!
