It is just a simple truck that can take you from point A to B for many years without giving much problem. That is what Toyota is for. Comparing with Toyota suv- The suv is much more better than pick up. The hilux is a work horse. Because of the leaf spring on the back pick up trucks are not comfortable at all. The Toyota Tacoma and Tundra are really good in terms of pick up. They are really luxury and have sunroofs and so many other features but we dont get those models in asia.

It's priced premium but the material choices do not really justify the course of it. I can understand the uniqueness and purposeful existence of this vehicle but being in a prices competitive country doesn't really wow me! But as once said, no product is bad if it's priced right! But this doesn't live up to it.

Why do y'all promote automatic variants more? A proper off roader is always manual.

Who in their right mind takes a vehicle over rocks and rivers ? I can understand a forest ranger or armed forces personnel doing that as part of their duty. But why would a civilian do that ?. Fact is that a Sedan with a boot is most comfortable and practical.

To give you some context people love to do that nearly every weekend in US, Australia and many more countries. Plus cars like this have a great towing capacity to take the caravan along. Obviously india is a totally different market, it's sad it won't be appreciated that much, we love our Hilluxes in Australia.

Toyota has pitched at a wrong timing and with a wrong pricing. The same thing happened with the Yaris that Toyota brought earlier also. People are getting adjusted to ISUZU but with 10 lakh difference, people would buy the ISUZU. This is kind of an American culture bcoz they travel a lot and they like to carry a lot of cargo with them. But we Indians have a different culture
