    I got this nail polish remover steamer and it is great! This is the easiest time I have ever had taking off my gel polish. I immediately called my friend and recommended it. I use several layers of polish because my natural nails have gotten so long using gel polish, so it has always taken a lot of time to get it all off. After I filed off the topcoat, I used this and machine and it took a little time, but I had it my lap as I watch TV, and then I’d stick one nail out at a time and carefully push the polish off. It works great, and my hands aren’t all white and dry like when I use the acetone on them directly. This was a great investment: now I can remove the polish once a week since my nails grow 1mm a week and at 2 weeks I had 2mm of new growth to show when I regularly changed my polish and dreaded the process of removing the gel.
    I am rather new to gel polish, having only used it since February 2014. I have tried: 1. soaking my nails directly in 100% acetone, 2. Putting cotton in the the acetone and wrapping my fingers with aluminum foil (both bought kits, and just cutting foil), 3. Putting a tiny nail piece of cotton with acetone on each nail, wrapping with plastic and then putting on the clips (this worked the best before the steamer), 4. Filing off the polish carefully. 5. This Nail Steamer Gel Remover Machine.
    This steamer is a game changer. I highly recommend it.

    Great video. No need to purchase a second one because while the second hand is soaking off, use that time moving forward with the first hand that the gel has already been removed from:)

      Nice! Definitely make sure to turn it off for a moment after you soak your first hand while you’re removing the remaining gel and turn it back on to get ready for the second hand it does lose heat and works much better if you give it a moment and get it back on ;)

      Pending on how long you have it seeming for and how much you put in it could totally completely evaporate and if you need more sometimes you might have to add more but I would definitely pour out anything that’s left over if any 😉

      I’m so sorry for my late response I just was scrolling through seeing messages I missed. I get my cuticle pusher’s from Amazon there are lots of options super cheap on average about 2 to 3 dollars per pusher. You do not need anything fancy just a good stainless steel cuticle pusher

    What brand of acetone do you recommend to use, I have tried 3 different brands of acetone and neither worked, they're all 100% gel removers, Sally's beauty secrets, Essie gel remover, and Red Carpet manicure gel remover. I am not a professional so I am unable to purchase the CND brand. What brand do you recommend?

    • @TheNaturalNailGuru
      @TheNaturalNailGuru  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Honestly there’s no particular brand as long as it is pure acetone remover or gel polish remover. I’ve actually never used either of those I don’t believe but I’ve definitely never had an issue with the mini brands that I’ve tried. I’ll definitely see if I can get my hands on one of those and try it out I promise I’ll keep you updated on that. But with Joel make sure that you were always using the rough end of a file so that you can buff the topcoat it is very difficult to soak if you do not buff that topcoat layer

      @@TheNaturalNailGuru , I actually do file the top coat, just wondering could it be the brand of gel I am using, Modelones, these were recently in purchased as well as the steam nail machine. When I first purchased it, I tested it out on the different brand of gel I had on. Can you tell me what brand of acetone you use?

      @marthagarcia6280 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, please I really would appreciate your feedback as soon as possible. I would think that all acetones were created equal, guess not.

    • @TheNaturalNailGuru
      @TheNaturalNailGuru  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      No I have not it is capable of soaking off even acrylic so it will definitely soak off dip however dip is much harder than gel polish And sometimes has applied very fake so you might have to do it a couple times to fully soak off

    • @TheNaturalNailGuru
      @TheNaturalNailGuru  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      They shouldn’t although if your nails are long enough and you put your finger straight you could totally touch it but you definitely want to kind of grip the top and keep your fingers out of the liquid so you just have the steam hitting it 😉

      I’m so sorry I never responded before I was just scrolling through some comments and saw that they were a few I have missed. If this is just for you at home then yes I would totally recommend it. Do one hand turn the machine off while you finish scraping off your gel give it a few minutes and turn it back on to heat up that was really my only dislike with this machine is that it did not maintain the heat throughout and definitely needs to be turned off for a couple minutes and then back on again for the second hand ;)

      @@TheNaturalNailGuru why doesn’t it stay hot? What happens instead ?

  • @sunflower6434
    @sunflower6434 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    I just bought one, at first it just wouldn’t get warm or soak the gel nail polish off. (Not happy Jan)
    Then I turn it off and on, put my fingers in, and the second time it started to warm up, and the more times I did that; the more it warmed up each time. Especially for the second hand.
    But it definitely didn’t happen as fast as you are claiming…

    Any idea how well this works on dip powder removal?

    • @TheNaturalNailGuru
      @TheNaturalNailGuru  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I do not use dip products so I’m not really sure if it would be just as effective I think it would be however this machine definitely did not keep the heat throughout so it did require me to turn it off for a few minutes and turn it back on so the heat was strong enough to soak off the second hand so it is possible that you might just need to steam it a little bit longer to make sure the dip is soaked off thoroughly but I definitely don’t see why it wouldn’t work
