I think you are one of the smartest and most skilled engineers/woodworkers out there. Not sure what it takes to get to this level of skill and detail. Thank you so much for sharing 💯/💯
I saw this same idea on Izzy Swan's channel...... it's a great accessory! Even with the added support I'd still be nervous using it when trying to rip a full sheet. I'd be concerned about the front end staying down, even with a featherboard in the fence, or not keeping even lateral pressure against the fence as I'm feeding the board through the saw. But that's just me. 🙂. Nice build and thank you for sharing!
I totally get what you mean. Handling big sheets is always tricky and in most cases its better to move the saw then the big sheet. I ♥ Izzy Swan content, great stuff :)
I've seen other sets of these, but I think this is my favorite and the one I will build. The other ones I've seen are functional and work just fine, but there's something almost elegant about this design. Of course, the fact that their built in a nice shop without dust and crap all over the place probably helps with that perception. Cheers!
What is the length of the rail - looks to be about 5 feet? I bought your plans and will be adding your great infeed to the stand I'm building for my brand new Ridgid R4518 (arbor is much longer than DW for dado set) that replaces a Dewalt 7480 that became almost unusable due to constant fouling of the blade up/down mech. DW-40 is the only quick fix but it seems to exacerbate the problem by attracting dust. I'll never buy a Dewalt again 'cause they no longer support a dado set but mostly for the dust fouling that is so typical for all DW's - you'd think some engineer (I'm retired EE) could fashion some plastic or tin housing around the up/down mech. You are right your infeed support is a game changer it really facilitates using a giant sled (can't wait for it to snow - unlikely here in Florida) and I expect I'll be using my track much less.
I saw that you had 3D printed the end caps for the box tube, was the extended knob for the saw 3D printed as well? If it was, is the STL available, if not, where can one be bought. Thanks
Good idea with the toggle clamps. I think I'll make these for my DeWalt job-site saw, because the surface available in front of the blade is absurdly small.
Wonderful....It doesn't appear that IZZY SWAN's inspiration helped you in anyway to improve on his original design in 2023. A true credit to Izzy's creativeness
Yes he played a big part in it. I could not find many points of improvements to do. These legs have had a huge impact in how i handle larger sheets or even longer boards i rip.
@@DesireToInspire1 Use my track saw for sheet goods. I used to wrestle sheets on my table saw, but track saw is so much better, and SO much safer. Course only my opinion. :)
Mostly other TH-camrs and another super good resource is Pinterest. I try to find something that I like and then I think of how I can improve on it. I make it work even better for me and then I go with the flow. Its a crazy amount of research behind all my projects. I love learning new things and I try to push my self doing more and more advanced stuff. Thanks for watching my videos, it means a lot to me ♥
😮 Ansonsten wirklich tolles Projekt weiter so

Your video tells the story! Nicely filmed, edited, and kept my interest. Thanks 👍

At 16:19. Did you 3d print that knob extension or buy it somewhere? Great product! Very unique.

Nice work on a sturdy table saw accessory. We shared this video on our homemade tools forum last week 😎
Good idea. You need a fence extension to make this usefull else you can not control the cut angel.

Yes I agree, as soon as larger sheets are used then its very hard to support it when feeding it into the saw.
you are a genius! 👍👍👍👍👍

Good idea :) Though I don't use my TS to cut sheet goods any more.
Maybe some wall rack system?

I'm loving your videos, great ideas, where do they come from, 🧠🤔.Colin 🏴
