I know this video has been up for a while, but I just watched your video and then successfully created my 1st tube setting! Thank you so much! I have watched many of your videos and learned so much from you!
Thank you for this! I wish I had seen it before I took a three-day course (costing $500) on just the flush and pave setting. The class was OK, but YOU made it so simple, clear and not stressful :) Very glad I found you here.
Have you done a video where you solder multiple tube bezels together? Like 4 or more tube bezels attached together with a band on the back etc... if you have any advice on how to do that the best would be great!
Soham, I have been catching up with your videos and noticed you using a micro motor handpiece for drilling and burrs in this one. It seemed you were using a foot control to start and stop, I have this set up as well. Do you know of a variable speed foot control for these micro motors? Mine is off and on and it is tricky to pre set the speed on the control box and then start and stop with the foot switch. I love the handling of the micro motor handpieces and Use them for all my polishing and smoothing...
Thank you for all your tutorials. I have a question though, what is the best way to set 5 x 3 mm marquise and oval faceted stones? I bought some but didn't realize how tiny they are :( Thank you kindly.
there is truly no simple and accurate mathematical formula to deduce the length of the circumference of an ellipse. the best way to find the length of bezel wire needed for that is to either wrap the wire itself around the stone, or wrap a strip of paper, and add a little extra in the metal to account for thickness.
