Windward Road Primary is similar to many American schools and so the adjustment to American was different on my part. How long did it take you to process everything, like from the beginning till when you got the VISA? Lastly you didn't mention IELTS, is it that you did not take the proficiency test? I just want to know. I would like to apply before the end of the yr that's why I want those clarifications. thank you
I first travelled alone and my family came after. The processing time was quick. As soon as the program sent the DS2019 form I scheduled the interview. The dates for the J1 visa was readily available when compared to a visitor's visa. I went and got everything in hand in less than a month. No, I did not need to take the IELTS. I doubt if any of the programs require it but I am not 100% sure. Thanks for watching and I hope I answered your questions.

Did you need a state license to get the job or did you pass courses or something after arrival to get it as you worked?
Some schools in Jamaica also prepare Jamaican teachers for this type of workload.

Yes, you do. Time varies by the district. Some districts provide materials, but you can also source our own.

Hi if you apply to more than one program one police record could go for all or you have to get more than one?
One should suffice as you scan and upload it online when you are applying. You take the original with you when you go on the one you decide on.

Programs require at least a bachelors degree.
