    Love these procedures and I love the fact that you shared how you adjusted to meet your classroom needs! Just because a procedure has been put in place that doesn't mean you should be afraid to change it if you notice it's not effective or efficient👌

    as a teacher, I think it was good call talking about hallway behavior. One should remember that for any grade and teach what's expected for a class's behavior in the hallway. Nice!

    Having a tardy slip routine is GENIUS! I don’t know how I haven’t thought about it! 🤦🏾‍♀️ I will definitely add a place to put them in this year.

    I’m so excited I found your channel, I’m in Texas and my daughter is going into third grade. She will be doing virtual for the first few weeks, to start off.

    Love your class procedures. Would you mind giving an example of how you use exit tickets?
    I get a bit confused in that part. Thanks

    Jacqueline, I love your videos; you always have so many helpful tips and advice for an aspiring elementary school teacher like me. I really appreciate all the time and effort you put into making these videos on top of the undoubtedly already stressful load of running your classroom, lol. You rock.

    I’m so glad you made this video and mentioned things that didn’t work in your room with things that have. This is my first year teaching and I’ve been so nervous to change out procedures that haven’t been working. I don’t want to confuse my kiddos. I’m also teaching 2nd grade which is the youngest that I have ever taught. I can’t wait to use some of these procedures next year and have something smoothly.

      I'm glad it was helpful! This year I had to change allll my procedures due to Covid, so I'm hoping next year I can go back to implementing these!

    I love the Pencil procedure! What do you do if kids lost their pencils and are not able to return the same amount that they started with at the end of the day?

    Do you have a procedure for when kids are absent what they do about missed work?

    • @JacquelineHall
      @JacquelineHall  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I should've mentioned this!! So, whenever I pass out anything, let's say someone from table 2 is absent, table 2's group leader is in charge of putting that handout in their groups absent bin. (Each group had an absent bin). When that absent student comes to class the next day they know to look in the absent bin for their missed work. Usually they'd come in my class before the bell rings and I'd let them get started on catching up.
