    Vikki, every single time I watch one of your fabulous videos, I am just gobsmacked! You always have such great ideas and I appreciate the editing so that we don’t get bored. I’m always astonished at how your colors pop and stay wet enough for pulls. I guess I’m going to have to invest in the golden fluid acrylics because I think that might be the trick to the fabulous intense Rich colors and sumptuous results that you get.❤ also I was thinking in order not to obliterate the text. Maybe I might write the sentiment with a black pen by hand on top of the print. I always have lots of ideas after watching your videos.

      I love it, Vivian! I love that you’re feeling inspired and getting new ideas! I highly recommend investing in at least a few Golden Fluid Acrylic pigments to try, I know they’re pricey, but yes, I get great results with them. Thank you for your lovely compliments, I will pass them along to my video editor!

    I'm breaking out my gel plate tomorrow to make holiday cards. Your work here has been a great inspiration. I would have just used a light color for the text and a block over it to gel print over. So very boring compared to what you've done here. Thank you for sharing. P.S. I wish I could hear colors like you do.

      Barbara, thank you, your comment makes me smile! Yes on the gel plate, highly addicting, I like 8" X 10" or smaller, as with the larger plates it seems harder (for me) to get good results. Happy printing and thanks for subscribing!

      @@VikkiReed I make journals so thought being able to make 8 & 1/2 X 11" pages gel printed would be good. That's my page sizes. So thought 9X12" gel plate would be best. But it's so BIG. So I'm leaning towards 8X10". Like YOU SAID. I like your recommendation. Thx

    Gorgeous!! I’ve been wanting to make some cards (especially since my pile of gel prints is growing exponentially 😅). What kind of ink did you print text with that you could use alcohol and wipe away paint, but didn’t affect text please? So pretty!

    • @VikkiReed
      @VikkiReed  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Janet, great question! I have an Epson Inkjet printer, and you are correct, if the alcohol is applied and wiped away aggressively, the text will begin to lift as well...

    Pretty dang fabulous!!! What kind of tape did you use to apply the prints together?

    • @VikkiReed
      @VikkiReed  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I use an ATG Gun and tape, it would be the same as double sided tape, and you can also use glue, I just prefer the ease of the ATG "gun", which rolls the tape out

    do the quotations have to be printed on laser printer, or can I use inkjet?

    • @VikkiReed
      @VikkiReed  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Linda, thanks for your question, what I used was printed on an ink jet printer, and prior to that I have used laser prints. I bought the ink jet specifically because I heard it is better for photo transfers (on the gelli plate), which I have not mastered yet!

    • @lindarobertson
      @lindarobertson 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@VikkiReed hmm. I have heard the opposite about photo transfers. I have managed to transfer images from high gloss magazines, but I am not having luck with inkjet. I'm part of the BTS ARMY and I've been trying to think of a way to use the gelli plate to print their lyrics to use in a little scrapbook I keep and I swear I just never thought of printing them on paper first and then using the plate. Like I thought about printing it backwards and using a laser jet but just PRINT THEM ON THE PAPER FIRST omg I'm so embarrassed I cannot believe how dumb I am 😂😂😂
