    Now I understand how to use a color wheel. My whole life I've never been able to make sense of one. Pretty, but how do you work.....lol. Fortunately, I have decent instincts. Thank you Louisa.

    I often wondered how you come up with such coordinating colors, thanks for sharing.

    I also have a ton of firepolish beads from the Dollar Bead Box subscription. I let it run for a few years and almost never used the beads. Now, I have a mountain of them! Love you use of the color wheel. 😊😊😊

    Thanks for the great explanation! I just went out and bought it because you went into such great detail how to use it. Would love to hear what you have to say about choosing which metal to use. 🦋

    It's VERY helpful. I don't have that natural ability, lol! That is the best color wheel I've ever seen, and you gave such a great, detailed, visual explanation of how to use it, where others have just basically given a cursory, verbal explanation. I'm a visual learner, and I need to see and not just hear. Thank you! I have got to get me one of those! You're an awesome teacher! ☺️🌹

      srvntlilly thank you for the nice comments. Yes, I’ve owned other wheels but I find this one the easiest to use for jewelry making.

      A vJ ...I agree. It’s much easier to see the colors when your looking at them in natural light using a wheel or a book.

    Hi 👋Luisa
    That was without a doubt the most helpful tutorial video I have ever seen for understanding colours. I have quite a bit of trouble with colour selection, as I suppose many beaders do, so thank you for your foresight in opening my eyes to this wheel and more importantly how to use it. Cheers from Aussie Jen 🤗🤗🤗

      Jenny Russo Aww! Thank you Jenny! So kind of you. And cheers to you my Aussie friend. I grew up in Brisbane and have very fond memories of my childhood. ❤️

      Aah ha, I thought I detected some Aussie there in your speech. I am a Brisbane girl too from Scarborough on the Redcliffe Peninsula. Travelled quite a bit but always come home to Redcliffe. X

      Jenny Russo I’ve lived in the States so long, I’m surprised I have any accent at all...lol. It comes back when I’m around other Aussies 🙂. I grew up in Sunnybank! I also lived in Perth for 4 years.❤️

    • @jennyrusso8570
      @jennyrusso8570 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Luisa
      It’s hard to take the Aussie out of the girl even though it’s been a long time for you. Your US/Aussie accent is very charming so I hope it stays with you. Sunnybank is about one hour south of Redcliffe. We are on the coast north of Brisbane. Sunnybank is a very densely populated area now and a lot of Asians have chosen this area as very close to the City and good transport and gorgeous Asian grocery stores and restaurants. If there are any questions you have about this area please feel free to ask.
      Very best wishes on your newish path of you tubing your fabulous designs. Kind Regards Jen 🦘🦘🦘🦘🦘🦘

      @MistyMoonDesigns  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Jenny Russo Hopefully I will never lose my accent but it definitely has changed drastically from what it used to be back when I first moved to the States. Yes, I did read somewhere that Sunnybank had changed. I often look at Google Earth Street View to see my old home. It brings me joy but I have noticed that my neighborhood is quite different now in some places. Oh well, everything changes with time. It’s all good.

    This was extremely helpful! I have a color wheel someplace so I’ll have to find it and see if it’s similar. If not, I’ll order yours. Do you do bead weaving as well as stringing? I subscribe to the Dollar Bead Box also but I use them in bead weaving patterns. Thank you for sharing this! 💜

    This was very helpful! I never thought I'd use a color wheel, but this looks so useful! I've been using trial and error, trying different beads which is time consuming.
    I think I'll need to reorganize my beads by color? How do you have to beads organized, by type or color?

    I saw a sewing machine in the background. What other crafts do you make, if you don't mind me asking?

    • @MistyMoonDesigns
      @MistyMoonDesigns  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Scott Thornton ...I have dabbled in all kinds of things through the years. I even owned my own faux finish company back in the early 2000s. The sewing machine was used more recently to adjust the hens of my belly dancing costumes back when I was dancing....lol. But to answer your question...I’ve been an artist on canvas, walls, and furniture through the years. Doing everything from color washes to gold leafing, murals, and high end stenciling. It’s a long story and one day I’ll do a video about it. I got into bead weaving 10 years ago because I wanted to scale down my artistic endeavors. So right now, jewelry is my only focus.

    • @ooohlaa13
      @ooohlaa13 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@MistyMoonDesigns I fall into the same categories although more at the dabbling level for something I wanted to create in my life as opposed to exploring the craft, and then I get hooked for a while. Not the belly dancing though, don't have the hips for that! You are such an all around pro. What are your birth and rising signs? You must have methodical Virgo in an influential position (meticulous and exact)?

    I guess I'm the only one who disagrees. I think those color combinations on the wheel are horrid. Violet and green? Never!
