That's a very interesting claim that they can vastly beat the end-to-end latency of an Xbox Series X running a game locally. I haven't looked into game streaming for years, because I just assumed the technology would never meet my standards, but now my PC is aging (i5-7600k and RTX 2070 Super), and I can't afford to upgrade for Baldur's Gate 3, Starfield, and the new Cyberpunk 2077 update and DLC, so I may just use Geforce Now Ultimate. I messed with geforce now when I got into the cloud a few months before stadia went peace. I think their price is reasonable so for long windows and no wait times I had the ultimate. It lagged quite a bit for me on any device. Got it after stadia went and I still felt the same even with my shield tv. Edit: to anyone who is skeptical and maybe a busy dad or your jobs just crazy or you don't have the $$$ to drop. Geforce is where it's at and gamepass plus Microsoft overload on the way.
Same here! I tested it after stadia went under and I really wasn't impressed. Tried it again last night and it's made massive and improvements over the last year. Still not as easy and quick to get online as stadia was, but definitely an improvement in latency and the graphics look great
GeForce now ultimate is the only Service that doesn't have lag at all, I have never had this ever, usually all gaming stream services felt like they had input lag, this shit is really crazy good.
This is an absolute game changer for the Retroid Pocket 4 Pro or similar systems. Gives you the ability to play most games, both new and old! The device also docks to a TV and supports both keyboard and controller support.
So, I subscribed to GFN Ultimate to stream Baldur's Gate 3, and it's been running fantastically, but during one 4 hour session, I lost connection and all of my saves that I had been making every 5 minutes or so were just gone. They weren't synced with Steam. They weren't saved with GFN. I don't know what else to do, except accept the loss and manually quit the game and relaunch every hour or so just to make sure I don't lose too much progress if GFN crashes. My internet is fine. I have 250 Mbps down and up. I haven't had an outage in years, and I'm on the internet constantly while I'm awake. I'll still stay subscribed, but I will be saving up for a PC upgrade because I don't see GFN to be a long term solution if I can't even depend on them to keep my saved games as I save them during gameplay.
Did you watch my video today? I talk about something very similar. I do believe there is a conjunction with how the game is made and GFN getting hit hard with users for this game: th-cam.com/video/jK9ivaPCg4Y/w-d-xo.html
@@CloudGamingBattle ok that advice in the video didn't apply to my situation because I didn't let my time run out. I lost my connection with GFN, which ended my stream prematurely. I had no warning. Yes Larian could work around this issue with their cross-save feature, but that doesn't change the fact that GFN had my latest saves and lost them. Even Steam could work around this issue by not waiting until the game is no longer running to sync saves, but it doesn't change the fact that GFN is the one who lost my saves.
Letting you time run out would be the same as losing your connection because they cut you before you end the game properly. So yea the situation is very similar. Once they close the game, they don't shut down Steam correctly.
@@CloudGamingBattle Ok, then it wasn't really "losing my connection" then as it says. It must have been a hard crash on the server side. I've let my 8 hour time run out just a few days ago on launch day, and it kept all of my saves just fine then. I'm not looking for excuses as to why it happened. I'm just saying that it was completely preventable on their side, and according to discussions on forums I've been reading, this has been an issue at least since 2021. And this will be the main reason why I will not be a long-term subscriber to GFN. 2 years should have been plenty of time for them to come up with a solution, but the fact that it still happens indicate to me that they just don't care.
I have had GeForce now for over a year now and as of late every holiday or kids out of school there's up to an hour of wait times on Priority tier. This has made me switch to Shadow!
I'm looking into GeForce Now to play Baldur's Gate 3. It does seem like the best option, but I'm hesitant because I've heard that "even the best" cloud gaming services can have latency issues/delays as the server transmits to your device. Can anyone tell me if they've experienced this from Geforce? I'm especially hesitant because the free version is "at capacity" so I can't even use that for the rest run, and the 1 month option for Priority is currently sold out, meaning the least I'd have to commit to is the 6 month. That's a lot of money to drop for something that might not work right. I'd appreciate any feedback or input.
So if I buy this, would I be playing using controller or set up mouse & keyboard and, will I end up just playing vs PC users with MODS etc. I'm a console user and hated playing crossplay vs all PC users. Steam, is this workable for all games used and no need to have pc/laptop powered on?

Same here! I tested it after stadia went under and I really wasn't impressed. Tried it again last night and it's made massive and improvements over the last year. Still not as easy and quick to get online as stadia was, but definitely an improvement in latency and the graphics look great
If cloud streaming latency gets fixed then this will be fking epic
Things will get better over time but latency mainly a you thing. What are you playing on?
GeForce now ultimate is the only Service that doesn't have lag at all, I have never had this ever, usually all gaming stream services felt like they had input lag, this shit is really crazy good.
This is an absolute game changer for the Retroid Pocket 4 Pro or similar systems. Gives you the ability to play most games, both new and old! The device also docks to a TV and supports both keyboard and controller support.
They will win this race of cloud gaming, because you play your OWN games you already bought. fantastic.
@@CloudGamingBattle oh I didn't watch that. Thanks. I'll give it a watch.
I would love to get 4k HDR surround sound update for lg oled 2022 series. Im on my shield for now but its more comfort on tv direct
I have had GeForce now for over a year now and as of late every holiday or kids out of school there's up to an hour of wait times on Priority tier. This has made me switch to Shadow!
It slow downed now
Holiday times are terrible.
as a free user of geforce now for over 2 years i can confirm that free ier is really ba dand i recemond buy priority tier
Everyone's latency situation is different. But regarding testing the service, you might be between a rock and a hard place. Might be best to wait.
I got a question bro, how long do you have to wait after i payed a membership
How long do you have to wait for what?
Holy shit man, you are really good hype man, I am in the half of the video, but I want all of anything you will offer to me.
Well thx
Do you think iPad Pro M4 can play these games with touch controls without an issue? (I have 5G router with 300mbps connection)
Yea
Do u still have to purchase the games separately even with a subscription?
Yes. I explained this in the video
I just want to know how to activate the vibrate function in my app if able? Does Geforce support this? Using my Galaxy S8+ w/Xbox controller...
Which would you suggest for the Ultimate subscription. The Shield pro or the mini pc.
Mini PC. You can do a lot more with it. Plus the SHIELD TV hardware is outdated by several years now.
whats the game at 4:19? That looks like fun lol
Warhammer 40,000: Darktide
Hey, I have a laptop with a 1080p, 144HZ display. Should I get the Ultimate tier because of 120 FPS stream or should I just stick to Priority ?
That’s up to you
So if I buy this, would I be playing using controller or set up mouse & keyboard and, will I end up just playing vs PC users with MODS etc. I'm a console user and hated playing crossplay vs all PC users.
Steam, is this workable for all games used and no need to have pc/laptop powered on?
Yea these are PC games. You still need to play this on a device like a laptop but you won't be using the laptop power to run the game
I used it in 2021 with Cyberpunk, but this is way eay better now. And just the priority tier.
Hello, I clicked on your mini pc link, the gpu is a AMD Radeon Graphics 7 Core, up to 1800MHz, are you sure it can handle GeForce Now at 4k 120fps? Just making sure before buying it. Tks!
I use it for my GFN reviews all the time. I highly recommend an Ethernet connection
@@CloudGamingBattle I got a very good internet connection, just need a good gpu to push GeForce Now on the resolution and frame rate I mentioned. I'll get that one.
I made sure to pick the lowest costing unit that meets the 4k requirements. It hasn’t failed me yet.
@@CloudGamingBattle awesome man, tks for your time, I definitely gonna get the same, I got a LG C2, but it doesn't stream 4k, so my GeForce Now is capped at FHD, with that pc it'll be much better.
Hi man! I was wondering if you can play on Mac with the ultimate? I want to play Forza horizon 5 but is that possible on 4K also?
Yep
Since this video was 9 months ago, do you still have to wait a while in priority tier for the queue?
They have added more capacity
A couple of minutes wait being a con for the priority tier is wild bc i waited 1.5 hours+ today and then I missed it bc I wasn’t on my computer
For the Priority tier? I've never waited an hour for the Priority tier. The Free tier yes. Well over an hour
And still waiting to be launched in India 😢

So like if I already own a pc... I have to buy the games.... so what's the point of streaming it?
Like I'm struggling to see the value in it other than not having to worry about downloading all your games onto a 1-2tb ssd / nvme.
If you already have a suitable gaming PC, this isn't for you
@@CloudGamingBattle So if I didn't have a pc how would I play if it requires a keyboard & mouse? Does the nvidia shield have like hookups for it?

Does it allow you to play games i own from Steam? If so can i get and sync achievements ?
Yes as I mentioned in the video
@Cloud Gaming Battle Awesome, thanks. Must have missed the part about the achievements
It’s a direct connection to Steam so achievements will work

@@CloudGamingBattle another question: example u have a 60hz refresh rate but u apply for 120 fps mode on the free version. do get to see 120 fps game play or is it still limited to 60?

Before you spend money on scummy business that is cloud gaming, just don't. Trust me you'll have a greater time playing games on local device.

Any update on ultimate tier queue times? Im considering buying 1 month ultimate tier (i was going to get priority but the 1 month is sold out and i dont have the funds for the 6 months) because queue times are out of control and xbox cloud gaming isnt cutting it so i wanna make sure im not wasting money cause if i queue into fortnite and the wait times haven"t changed from 400+ ppl im honestly gonna give up on cloud gaming. PS: i know that ultimate won't skip the wait times just reduce them since ill be in ultimate servers but i just wanna know if any of you guys have ultimate if ultimate is still worth it.
To improve queue times, they need to add more capacity which means more machines in more datacenters. That will take some time. Months actually
Thanks but my question is what is the difference in queue times between free(tier I'm at right now) and ultimate(tier I'm considering upgrading to)
It really depends on where you are and what time you play. Expect 400-800 on the free tier. 0-150 on the Priority. Ultimate 0-50 as of now. But that could change very soon for the worst.
Ok thank you so much I have bought the ultimate but the transaction hasn't gone through yet and it says it should go through in 1-2 business days at most so once it goes through I'll post an update but I truly can't thank you enough though this helped me out so much, earned a sub!
Update I got the ultimate membership and don't regret it, no queue times=none(I instantly get in and loading times for the actual game is next to nothing), session lengths=amazing I'm yet to do a full 8-hour session but I love having more than an hour, and I didn't think this would be such a plus but I gotta hand it to Nvidia these graphics are amazing I've never played any games this way and my life has changed forever. Thanks for the informational video keep up the content.
Just got GeForce now today and I am very pleased with it. It's really nice as to I can get 240fps on fortnite low settings, and 160-200 on max settings. I might have to buy a 240hz monitor just to see the full potential of it.
