Should deffo look at some of the pubs that have been around since 1916. Loads of history and loads of pints
When I was a youngster and starting out on Guinness I was always told that Mulligans was the best pint of Guinness in Dublin. I went in and tried it but sher they could have given me a pint of Beamish back then and I wouldn't have known the difference. Most go back sometime with my now discerning pallette.

Brilliant interview Darragh. Loving this new content. You should try visit some of the pubs the lads used while fighting for independence. As far as I know, Michael Collins was known to frequent in the Stags Head and Clearys pub for meetings / hideouts etc. Would be incredibly interesting to visit these pubs and find out if the owners would sit down for a chat.
My fav episodes are when the barman gives you insights like at grave diggers. I have been in the beverage industry 37 years.

I will return to Ireland again this October to celebrate my birthday. Flying into Dublin and will undoubtedly have several pints throughout Dublin town.
Great interview .. beautiful pub. After the match the TV goes off LoL and no sing songs. You've struck gold here Dar as 'The Pub Guru'. As the man said, when the tourists come this is what they're coming for. You can try but you cannot replicate the Irish Pub anywhere else. Show as much as you're allowed.
Off to Dublin for a stag in May, you've given me a hell of a list on this channel. Looking forward to cramming them all in!

What a captivating interview! This stuff that engages with the family/owner/staff on the history/story of the pub is so down to earth and so uplifting at the same time-if that makes sense. I loved the one with the pub/owner out in connemara , the xmas vid. of "The Hole in the Wall" and it's story and now Mulligans . I seem to remember one with the gravediggers a few years ago-maybe this is the "X" factor you've been looking for Darragh? Pints and stories/history! Stick with this format Daragh , whenever possible. Thumbs up /sub from me.

This was pure class. I was in Mulligan's before Christmas meeting friends from overseas for pints. It can't be beat for the no nonsense, sit down and smash pints vibe. This video made me want to go again for a pint.
I love Mulligans, it's my favorite pub in Dublin. The few times that I have visited Dublin from Texas, it's a must stop for me. Thanks for sharing the history.
Hi Darragh, have you ever visited The International bar, Wicklow street. It’s a family run pub since 1838, same name and same family since. It’s one of the remaining 16 victorian Dublin pubs and has featured in James Joyce Ulysses. Famous for stand up comedy and live music and serves a great Irish stew for €10.

Great pub, I bet it was the late great barman Mick McGovern who made that comment about U2. I was there the night in the 80s when he barred ballet dancer Wayne Sleep because he pirouette in the door after performing in the Olympia. Hilarious 😂😂.

We went mulligans recently whilst visiting Dublin and pint was shite - served in a 0% glass. Shocking!

If you can find it near you, you should try Suntory Premium Pilsner - it's like a super creamy pilsner really amazing beer curious what you might think of it - I feel like its the guiness of pilsners

An amazing boozer. I've been living in Munich for many years, but when I'm back in Dublin I always take the opportunity to drop in for a couple of hours. One of the very best pubs to be found anywhere, period.

Clancy's Pub on Main Street does a great pint. McDougle's Bar on 4th Street is a close second! Enjoy mate!

Overrated. They throw you out pints of slop (Guinness) and expect ya be happy with it because it’s “famous”. Kilkenny is class in there though.
