  • Join me as I demonstrate a very simple process of how you can clean up your clad coins in a rock tumbler to make sure they're accepted through a Coin Star Machine. Thanks for watching!

Thanks for sharing. Such a beautiful kitchen....your wife is a jewel to let you do this in there. Yep, I would dump outside. I have a vibrating tumbler so Ive got to go dry. I'll experiment. I just want them acceptable for the bank.

I would NEVER tumble coins, unless your absolutely certain they're only worth their face value. Tumbling coins completely ruins their numismatic value. Hope this helps some newbies!

I agree wholeheartedly with you and believe I mentioned that multiple times in the video. Tumbling is never recommended for rare or valuable coins. The intent of my video was to try to help detectorists clean up a bunch of clad coins in a short amount of time. Thanks for checking in!

@@TobaccoRoadRelics You did make it clear and if I am trying to cash in modern clad in a coinstar this does the trick. There's always one...MOST modern coins are only worth their face value. Numismatic means nothing to me when I am going to cash in a 2021 dime, nickel, penny, or quarter. Most of the clad I find is less than 5 years old.

You tumbled them with to much stone now they look pitted. Lemon juice and salt for 2 hrs and they will come out better than that.
