Andrew has a below normal level of intelligence in many areas of life. He doesn’t function well. Knowing this, the Royal Navy stood firm against Royal wishes & refused to give him command of a vessel. Much later, he was (on paper only) in command of a ship while it was dry docked & renovated.

I don't think that King Charles is the same at all. I have also met him briefly at official engagents, walk abouts and unofficially socially (polo and watching princess Anne ride at Badminton) and King Charles is charming, rather shy and interested to listen to your conversation with him. He is genuinely a nice, kind person. He also has a good sense of humour and is able to laugh not only at himself, but also the absurdity of certain aspects of life in general. Truly a nice man.

@@amberspaulding I do not have any inside information, however I hazard a guess that as a young queen, HRH Queen Elizabeth ii was obligated and consumed by duties and obligations and official overseas visits that Andrew was the first of her children that she was able to finally draw breath and start enjoying motherhood in the more conventional way that we view it. Hence it wasn't that she liked or loved him more than he represented a time in her life when she could properly embrace being a mother, a wife and not be overwhelmingly duty bound as monarch. Please remember that she was so very young when she became Queen following the very sudden and unexpected demise of her father, the King.

@Stuboy Well that's certainly one way to tell everyone you're not a British citizen. Either that or you're just terribly ignorant on policy.
People like to say that the salaries of the royals are funded by the taxpayers but what they don't realise is that isn't true. Every year the monarch signs over the profits from the Crown Estates into the treasury. Who owns the Crown Estates? The monarch does, held in trust for each monarch to come after. The Sovereign Grant comes from the money the monarch signs over to the Treasury every year. So no the income nor the properties are paid or owned by the public. Same thing goes for the crown jewels. None of it is coming from the UK taxpayers. We pay less than £2 a year for their security. Before you start telling people to trust you, you really should educate yourself on the subject.

@kellydalstok8900 OK find us half a billion pounds to fund the Treasury first of all. Next find thousands of jobs for people who work for the monarchy or indirectly even for the monarchy. Next understand that everything that is in the crown estate properties belongs to the monarch and held in trust which means if there's no monarchy there's no crown estates so tell us what are they going to come see when it's all closed down because the public does not own it like France did. Then come up with billions of pounds that people pay to buy the things that have the Royals' faces on them. It's not a lame excuse you're ignorant if you don't see it. They are history. Paying for the history they have the upkeep of the history.

I watched with horror as he dug a hole and climbed into it. Emily Maitland gave him an opportunity with lots of heavy-handed hints, to apologise and to comment on the treatment of the girls, but he didnt. The fact that the hints went straight over his head just goes to show that Andrew has not apologised very often in his life, and that it is a reflection on his upbringing.

if you look at the history of the royals over the last few centuries they had one pratt after another so you must come to the conclusion that it's in the bloodline to have a spoilt Pratt every now and then I feel sorry for Charlie his brother and his son both pratts in the same decade still they say what comes around goes around perhaps Diana twisting the knife I do hope so

Prince Andrew has not lost everything he should lose: he should lose his freedom and be in jail. I do not feel sorry for him, I feel sorry for his and Jeffrey Epstein’s & Ghislaine Maxwell’s underage victims.

it's interesting the things that people remember and the things that people forget because it doesn't flow with their feelings. Andrew did not commit a crime, you would know that if you'd paid attention. Andrew slept with a 17 year old paid worker when the age of consent was 16. It has been recorded that it happened three times. You should feel bad for Epstein and Maxwell's underage victims but do you know who brought those victims to them? Virginia did, which is why she's now being sued by all of the 12 year olds that she groomed. Virginia should be in prison along with Maxwell. If you're going to take a stand at least have some knowledge of what you're standing on.

“The only true purpose of art is to reveal the truth.”
    Say what, now?
One of my favorite things about being an artist is that I can create anything I can imagine. To hear something as limitless as art be aligned so exclusively with truth is just.. I don’t think my jaw would have dropped more if he said, “Ice cubes are hot.”

Vanity and stupidity go hand in hand. I know he was the Queen‘s favorite child, which by the way, having a favorite child is just dreadful. I may be annoyed with one child more than the others at some point in time but they’re all my favorite.
He brought h this on himself and deserves what came out too. No sympathy for child abusers ever!!!!

@@lesparton2069 It's perfectly fine not to agree. As for what has he done for the country he actually was on the Frontline of the Falkland War. Used himself as a target to be shot at, distracting the enemy so our people could be rescued. He also had several patronages to help people get their ideas and businesses supported by investors. Have you ever bothered to look him up? As for bringing the country into disrepute.. that's a bit juvenile. He slept with a PAID worker that had serviced all of that crowd for years and was herself a child trafficker.
