‘Mocking Christianity Absolutely Fine But Not Islam’ | Britain Under ‘De Facto’ Blasphemy Law

  • The UK should introduce measures to “prohibit the desecration” of religious texts and the prophets of Judaism, Christianity, and Islam, according to an MP.
Labour’s Tahir Ali (Birmingham Hall Green and Moseley) called for action as he warned “division and hatred” can be fuelled in society by “such mindless desecration”.
Former Chairman of the Conservative Muslim Forum Mohammed Amin joins Talk’s Julia Hartley-Brewer to discuss this further.

Just because you do not find religion important or love God more then your mother does not mean we cannot. When people are insulted Prophet Muhammad (saw), they are not saying anything really to Prophet Muhammad because he passed away and cannot be harmed. But what they intend is to attack muslim identity, away of saying F off to muslim or calling a muslim Sand N without saying it directly. Going around cleverly to dodge the label of racism or bigotry. When people attack Quran and Prophet Muhammad (saw) they really trying to incite hatred towards muslim so they can ethnic cleanse or even genocide them with repercussions
You cleverly use terms free speech to cover your racism and bigotry. We muslims know what your doing and saying. That's why there is such uproar from muslims, we have foresight.
Just in 1995 we had genocide of Muslims in heart of Europe. In 2020 we had genocide of muslims in Rohingya. Uigurs in China are heading towards ethnic cleansing and in Indian their is start of ethnic cleansing and genocide because of to licence to attack muslims identity and make us into villians or enemies within...

@ I say no to blasphemy laws but in reality I believe that a law will be passed for one religion that will take the UK back at least 100 years when blasphemy laws were abolished, I will reword my comment from these people to anyone who’s belief is the rule of religion and the laws that go with it possibly should consider a country like Iran, Afghanistan, Turkey, Pakistan to name a few who follow the religion of peace and harmony as a place to live, there was no mention of nationality it’s anyone who is a believer of religious leaders in control of the daily lives of the people, not sure the UK in the 21st century is quite ready for that yet but I am sure within the next 50 years it will be a reality.

@@headlesschicken99 A lot of things can and repeatedly do cause national security issues. Unfortunately I'm not allowed to talk about relevant issues under my own comment here, for example foreign policy. The Yooootooooob censors don't allow that. So we can throw these ideas up for thought like we live in a vacuum but unless (until) we're allowed to peg real world examples to it, we're not going to solve anything. People will continue to be oppressed and violated until we find a more enlightened way.
