I used this frame at first but have since made my own out of a used canvas and staple the fabric tightly. Ive been using it for a couple years now and love it. I use that same needle tool to separate my loops, I love that thing!!
I'm a crocheter and I'm really burnt out by constantly making new projects and selling them.I need a break.Actually I'm researching about punch needling needling now and your video is really helpful thank you
I'm glad you found my video helpful 😊. I started punch needling to take a break from crocheting and I'm so glad I did 😀. I hope you will enjoy this craft as much as I do 😄
hope so..i will let you know already ordered everything I need
You can get no slip hoops from Joanns. They are perfect for punch needle and cross stitch because they don't allow the fabric to move around. Nice work! 💗
I definitely need to find a no slip hoop 😅
Very cool, very simple desings with cute outcomes, you did a great job.
Thank you 😊
Me too I've just ordered all items for it like you I've watched it and inspired me
You're going to get addicted like me 😄
I do cross stitch with the snap frames, I put felt/paper towel between the grip. And you might want to use in reverse. Could help.
OOo that's a great tip, I will give that a try 😀. Thanks for that!!😊
@chloeeeyuen
I came to say the same. I use felt & cut the pieces to be like an inch bigger all around. Since it gets so snug, I then use that extra felt sticking out like a pull tab to get the snaps piece off quicker.
I love that I'm learning while you're learning
I love that too 😄
Get a large carpet frame, so much better, especially if you want to do several at once. Really looking forward to your digital patterns! I am looking at adding mirror frames, totes and appliqués to my craft booth along with the coasters. I was thinking about using cork for the backs but then I thought it might make cleaning problematic. Also, you can crochet a chain and glue around the edge of the coaster to give it a neater look, if you want. I really appreciate the knowledge you shared, great video!
Oh yes, I definitely considered getting carpet frame, maybe when I have more space for one 😊. Also, thanks for the tips and thanks for watching ❤️
For a beginner, your work was amazing
Thank you 😊. I watched so many videos 😅🤣
You can try using clamps or simple stitches around the fabric to prevent it from sliding.
Yes that may work. I stuck felt on the frame and that seems to have done the trick 😃
These are nice.
Thank you ❤️
You can pick at the loops and get the pattern more defined. It looks good!
Yep! I started to realise I had to move the loops around 😅
Your designs are so awesome! Very cute!
Thank you 🥰
I love the pink, white and yellow round design, I think with more practice you will be find.
Thank you 😊
Just FYI - your direct store link isn’t working and I’m using the TH-cam app on my iPhone and I can’t highlight and copy - of course I can still open it up by memorizing your site. But I just wanted you to know just in case it helps - your new detailed crochet toys are absolutely amazing - bravo!! I might’ve commented before but I think those Asian inspired toys will do so well at those anime cons 😊😊
Omg, thank you for letting me know. I'll update the link 😊. I have thought about selling at animation conventions, will look into it a little more 😄
I think if you turn the punch needle when u change directions an keep yarn facing front your loops will be more alligned.
Yep!! That's a great tip 😊
Awesome!
Thanks!😊
Hi, love the designs theyre all so cute! would you be able to do a quick tutorial on how you did the outline in white for no face's hands/arms? Is that one row of white, or did you do two rows? I've tried doing one row of colour and there's always spaces in between and they look like dashes instead of one consecutive line if that makes sense.
Oh yes, I'll add that to my list of future videos 😊. Also, I always give the yarn around with a pin ot needle after I have done the punching
@@chloeeyuen looking forward to the video ☺
Amazing video
Thank you 😊
Lovely, good job
Thank you 😊
Thanks so much for sharing this - you really have a clear aesthetic - my kids and I are starting this up - looks so fun and room to be creative.
Definitely, the kids will love it 😀
Hi Chloe , i am looking into this too.... currently crochet as well. i have looked inot some of the things people use and i have found some people like carpet frames and it has like needles to hold the fabric nice and taught. Can you share where you bought your needles from pls hun?
Diana xx
Hi Diana, ooo yes I am considering purchasing one and I bought mine from Etsy, here is the link www.etsy.com/au/listing/835510588
I love your work😍👏🏻can you tell me please what size of coasters you make and how time it takes to make one coaster ?
The coasters are 10cm in diameter, and I would say took me 1.5-2hrs..haven't really timed myself 😅
Are the Ghibli designs available for purchase? The No Face and Calcifer are so cute! I want to make them 🥹
I'm actually currently working on the digital pattern and will be available soon 😀
@@chloeeyuen Have you made them available yet?
BEAUTIFUL ❤ where can I find the patterns for ghibli coasters? Thanks
Hello, I currently don't have patterns for them yet, but I will be planning to release patterns of them in the future 😊
Thank you for sharing your new found skill. What is the program you are using to create your images?
I use Adobe illustrator 😀
@@chloeeyuen Thank 😊 you
Hi chloe, can i kindly to how to tell the customers to wash or clean them such as the coasters or hoodies? I have being doing research but couldn't find any one explaining it properly.
I usually tell people to use mild soap and hand wash the coasters or spot clean, and to air dry 😊
👋🏾 Came across your channel as I was researching! Very Nice! Are you going to start selling the patterns for the coasters soon??!! TY😊
Thank you 😊. I definitely will be, going to try and create a pattern for them 😊
@Chloe Yuen Thank you for replying. Even if you can't do the pattern but selling the images to download?
@M&S CraftyCorner definitely will be creating the pdf patterns 😊. Hopefully I will be able to work on it soon 😀
That's so nice! I also do crochet, but got a bunch of embroidery floss and thought it would may work for punch needle, would you think the smallest size needle you have would work with it?!
Thank you for sharing your new hobby!
It may work. You can do a test to see first before you get into a project 😊
Hello! I love what you do... I am looking forbecause I spent a lot of money for nothingcan you help me and give me the LINK of the canvas for punch 2.5 please thank you and link for yarn ;)
Hi, unfortunately the canvas or art is currently unavailable, I'm yet to create a digital patterns for them as for the yarn I used it's the Flinders Yarn from Spotlight Stores in Australia only..
Do you print the designs I am actually confused with the transferring
I have the pattern printed or just on an ipad, then I place the fabric over the pattern and just trace it with a pencil 😃
heyy may I know the diameter of the needle that you use? and the yarn diameter? I wanted to make one for my friend but I can't find the same punch needle near my city :")
I used the lavor punch needle, 2.5mm needle size. The yarn I used is 8ply cotton 😊
嗰個架夠唔夠緊?
can i ask what did you put on the back of ur craft after u glue gun it? the white one, what is that? thank you :))
I used a piece of felt, thought it's thicker than usual felt 😊
@@chloeeyuen that's exactly what I've been looking for, thank you so much
@@marjielyncapacia8523 you're welcome 😊
Hi may i know what software you are using to create patterns pls?
I use Adobe InDesign 😀
❤❤❤new sub here!
Thanks for your support 😊
Could you please write for me the name of the yarn ?
I used the Flinders Yarn from Australian Spotlight stores. Otherwise good alternatives are any cotton DK yarn. Like 8/6 rainbow yarn from Hobbi or the Paintbox simply cotton DK.
Maybe I am slow here but how do you trace the image onto the cloth?
The cloth is thin enough, so I can see the printed design underneath, I k ow some people use an ipad or ta let with the design on and trace it that way 😊
What mm is your punch needle?
2.5mm 😊
@@chloeeyuen thanks🫶
Dein video ist spitze. Deine Vorlagen wären toll. Stellst du die zur Verfügung? Lg Carmen
Thank you 😄. I just released my totoro ones, you can find them on my website www.emicreations.com.au 😊
@@chloeeyuen thank you - ich habe es schon gekauft über etsy :-) ich hoffe du bringst noch mehr raus
You couldnt use these as coasters as the drips of tea would ruin them and you cant keep washing them specially if you got felt on the back
Yep, you can only spot clean these or gentle wash. I have experimented with a cork backing and seem to work better 😀
Monks cloth
Desde Argentina te saludo y te pregunto cómo haces para no enganchar los rulos de abajo.
I leave enough fabric to make sure if it does snag that it doesn't affect the piece 😊
From what I have seen u should do details like eyes first
Yes!! I realised that as I made more, it's best to do smaller parts first 😀😅
